VIT Vellore is among most popular engineering college in India. The college life is very good and its placement records sometimes competes with top colleges like IIT, NIT etc.

It offers four years bachelor's degree in various engineering colleges including computer science and Electronics and communication engineering.

The candidate needs to score at least 60% aggregate in class 10th and class 12th.The subject combination in class 12th must be Physics, Chemistry and mathematics.

Then, they needs to  score well in VITEEE entrance exam for top branches (highly demanding branches) like computer science.

The college do not provide relaxation based on categories and all candidates are considered to be GENERAL.

However, they provide category wise cutoff based on fees like 2 Lakh, 3Lakh, 4Lakh and 5 Lakh. The higher you pay, the more relaxation in the cutoff will be provided.

VITEEE (Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination  ) is the common entrance test for admission into VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, VIT Bhopal and VIT Andhra Pradesh.  It occurs once every year.

It is a 150 minutes online mode test for getting admission in any of the five VIT campuses.

Hope you are doing well ! VIT is much better than SSN. VIT provide you the exposure and this is better than SSN in terms of infrastructure, placement, education, exposure. As per your rank 35181 category 2 not possible to get CSE in VIT . You can get other branch except CSE in Chennai campus. It can be possible in category 4 or category 5 only. That too it seems very difficult. Attend the first round of counselling and be cool. According to previous year cutoff of CSE it will reaches to 7000 only.
