i would like to suggest you to contact the VITEEE admistration cell since you will not acess to the online updation or else i would like to say once check the application in online portal if you have an aceess , on the other hand while you call

yes VIT comes under top 20 Engineering college of India.

but SRM doesn't.

The NIRF(National Institutional Ranking Framework.) of VIT is 16.

The NIRF(National Institutional Ranking Framework.) of SRM is 46.

the VIT only accepts its exam called VITEEE where it has the only way to go for addmission based on the VITEE , while the the addmission is based on the rank list , since the college is private there is no other method of addmission except VITEE
