Could have experienced things better offline.

      College Infrastructure

Decent enough, all essentials are included. Especially for core stream like mechanical , civil , electrical all necessary items are there in lab . Living spaces are bit cramped (especially for the first year) and mess is decent enough

      Academics

Curriculum aren't revised . Same old things are being taught. They could have improvised the quality of teaching. Teachers aren't passionate enough. More efforts should be put in to improvize the curriculum.

      Placements

Not good for core . Placements are only good for it dept . Not substantial core companies come for recruitment. Covid made the situation worse . Also , very few people get through good placemeng which they call it as super dream placement.

      Value for Money

Return on investment isn't decent if you aren't from the first category

      College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is quite good. You have SJT (Silver Jubilee Tower) , TT(Technology Tower) , Periyar Library. The college labs are quite big and too many in number each one of them equipped with the best and latest equipment of outstanding quality and with required quantity

      Academics

The curriculum was pretty updated and was specifically curated to make it industry-oriented. Professors are student friendly and approachable. Faculties are assigned on the basis of their specialisation and the stream they have worked or working in the case of visiting faculties.

      Placements

Placement is great for IT , CSE ,ECE,EEE . You will get placed in super dream if you work hard enough. Many reputed companies like Whirlpool, Alstom, Hyundai, Qualcomm, HP, etc., visit here. They offer a good salary package. Apart from that, a lot of IT and consulting companies like Deloitte, ZS, TCS, etc., visit here.

      College Infrastructure

Really beautiful campus. It has modern and well maintained infrastructure and provides support for researchers. Facilities like gym, swimming pool, indoor court etc are there and are well maintained. They have clubs to encourage extra curricular activities.

      Academics

I am studying EEE. The electrical field has always interesred me. The curriculum is regularly updated and there are industry expert talks for every subject to help the students know of what is happening in real time

      Placements

They provide well paying placements in big companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon etc. Almost all students get placed in some or other placements. The placement process goes on for a number of days and is pretty simple.

      Value for Money

The cost is based on the students rank VITEE. Better rank means more cost efficient. Students with bad ranks have to pay little more

      Campus Life

Seniors are friendly and there is absolutely no ragging and bullying. The teachers are also helpful. Its a bit too disciplined for a college at times but that helps the students focus on their academics. There is strict rules to ensure no smoking and drinking inside campus.

      Others

      Really enjoying my time here.

      College Infrastructure

College has all the necessary infrastructure to pursue a Bachelor's degree in the field of Information Technology and so much more. However, I would like to add that there is always scope for improvement given that mainframe computers could be introduced in our college. That being said, there is a separate dedicated incubation lab for our department and labs funded by the likes of Microsoft and Sun Microsystems amongst many others. All amenities are provided and environment is hygienic and clean

      Academics

Information Technology. Quality of teaching, is in most cases top notch. However, there are some cases where attention to detail would be appreciated, especially in theoretical subjects where there is not much scope for practical experience. Curriculum is up to date with recent developments in the field. What we study in college, with basic practice, makes one job ready.

      Placements

Quality of placements is what VIT can take pride in. They have consistently had good placements with multiple 20+LPA offers from various software companies and even peaking at 45 LPA by Microsoft. Apart from CSE, IT- the core branches also get into some super dream packages from core companies. Generally 99+% students in our college are placed by the end of 4 years. Average salary offered considering all branches is 5 LPA at least

      Value for Money

Cost of the course depends primarily on merit and more importantly rank. As it stands, there are multiple categories through which a student can enlist a course. Category 1 costs the least and Category 5 costs the highest. Hence, students with good ranks prefer Category 1 and save on a lot of money. Category 5 enlisted people might feel that they are not getting their money's worth but it all works out in the end.

      Campus Life

Campus Life is one of the best parts about VIT. It is where one makes the memories to cherish for a lifetime. Pre-COVID we used to enjoy each and every moment spent in college. Students can engage in club/chapter associated activities that happen after 7pm generally. However, a restriction is imposed by which students not having night slips have to enter hostel by 9:30-10pm. They can roam inside the hostel but not outside. The campus is totally safe and equipped to handle emergencies of all kind

      About VIT

      Verified Review
      College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is quite good. You have SJT (Silver Jubilee Tower), TT(Technology Tower), Periyar Library. The library is the best, you have 3 floors in the library, the top floor has coursebook ebooks in the systems. To lease a book the process is automated you don't have to wait in line. Just give scan your ID Card and your book will be leased for 2 weeks.

      Academics

The academics are fine... Most of the hard work you have to do if you want to get an S grade, some courses lack good faculties which are the core for ECE. You have to do most of the heavy lifting in order to get good grades. There is relative grading to calculate your CGPA. So we have to score just more than our classmates to get a good overall grade.

      Placements

Mostly students do get placed in with a avg package of 5-6lakh. VIT claims record for most number of student placed and company visits in placement cell. This year over 9000 placements happened on campus. Almost 100% of the students get placements from our college. The highest salary package offered here was 44 LPA.

      Value for Money

I do feel its a bit more but it has every facility that you could ask for and it is hygienic and safe. It is true that this college has little high fees because it is a private college but quality of education provided here is very good.

      Campus Life

VIT also has different types of cafes along with Dominos in campus. There are two major events in VIT called Rivera and Gravitas (technical event). Both the events are conducted on a huge scale.

      College Infrastructure

College has all necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. Classrooms are clean and well maintained. We have smart boards in many of the classrooms. All the hostels are not equally clean and hygienic. Some are some aren't. This is said in accordance to my experience in Boys' hostel.

      Academics

I am studying Computer Science Engineering. It's because the course interests me and and gives me opportunity for good placements. Our curriculum is well planned. All teachers aren't of the same quality but we have a flexible system of choosing our teachers and class timings. This is interesting and comfortable for the students.

      Placements

The figures of placements are good. But when delved little inside, we see that the number of students competing is huge! Due to this huge mass, the Companies have the leverage of hiring the premium quality students promised with underpay.

      Value for Money

I am content with the facilities but it is also undeniable that money charged can be reduced.

      Campus Life

Campus life is very good. We get to interact with people from different states, sometimes even countries. It helps diversify our domain of knowledge.

It is a good college but has too many rules

      Verified Review
      College Infrastructure

Well, infrastructure wise the college is among the top colleges of India, with a lot of world class buildings namely Technology Tower, Silver Jubilee Tower and the beautiful Periyar Library which has 3 floors with numerous sections of book. The Canteens are also quite hygienic with a lot of varieties of food and the labs and equipment are also in good condition. The college also offers a variety of rooms in hostels with both AC and Non-AC types.

      Academics

The academics is fine but quite hectic I would say, a bit excessive work has to be done with very less input of knowledge from those works but yes the Professors help a lot and they address each and every need of the student. I would suggest that the college should focus more on practical working rather than bookish knowledge

      Placements

The Placements are the pivotal part of VIT and to be honest VIT offers innumerable opportunities in different companies and fields with a lot of companies visiting the campus. They also have a very good record of placements with the top recruiters being Wipro and Microsoft along with several others.

      Value for Money

Well to be honest VIT offers the engineering courses at a very low cost compared to other pan-india private colleges of the country but the thing is that they don’t offer the same to all category of students. There are several fee slots in which you can be admitted. Plus they charge a lot in very small stuffs such as Paper Seeing and Revaluation also.

      Campus Life

Well Campus life is the one thing every student must look forward to before coming to VIT, within the huge campus you get to meet lots of students from different parts of the country and you get to know a lot from them be it knowledge, experiences and to be honest they become your lifelong friends after you experience hostel life.

      Great College

      Verified Review
      College Infrastructure

The library is very good and large inside the campus, and every student can take advantage of it and issue any book for 2-3 weeks. Hostels of the first year are also good and are equipped with air-conditioners(depends on your preference). Later after the first year has been completed, depending upon your CGPA, you are handed over the hostel choice, you will select your room in councelling.

      Academics

Academics is quite similar to other Colleges Faculties are assigned the basis of their specialisation and the stream they have worked or working in the case of visiting faculties. Well maintained academics

      Placements

Placements are the core part of the reason why VIT is preferred among other Private Institutes. Many top tech companies come for recruitments. But to land a job in those top tech companies your DSA should be strong.

      The Vile Institute of Torture(VIT)

      College Infrastructure

Our college does have all the infrastructure for a healthy college environment and experience. We have an outdoor ground for playing, gym and also badminton and table tennis courts. We have ac in gyms and all the courts and does have the up to date equipments and clean facilities. Faculties and classes have good environment to teach, good college wifi in classroom. The food is hygienic and tasty in canteens.

      Academics

I am studying cse here as I didn't get jee or wbjee, and here cse branch has the highest placements. The quality of teaching here is so bad that students regret their decision of enrolling here. The curriculum is not at all up to date and is useless, doing things on own has bigger advantage

      Placements

The placement cell of the college os a joke as a huge population, mass recruitment is the only hope for students, but not the 9 pointers, they are have a knack for making teachers feel like God and they will only go and have the placement.

      Value for Money

The place is very costly and fees is given in categories. It's totally worthless, even self studying is so much better than following the hectic schedule. The management is only taking students for the money

      Campus Life

The campus is good, spacious and very lush green environment. Has good feeling and positive entropy in the air. The best feature is the friendship and the worst feature is the support staff correcting us everytime.
