Hello aspirant

There are mixed reviews available regarding this language issue, some people dont face this problem whereas others do.

The main teaching occurs in English because many people are not from Ahmedabad but sometimes the teachers do use gujrati as it's their mother tongue which creates understanding problems for students who do not know the meaning of the words. But if you do get admission in BJMC, you should go ahead because its one of the top governmental medical college in India with well experienced faculty and great exposure.

Whenever you face language issues, you can always request teachers to use English or explain you again.

Thank you

Hope this helps

Hello,

Since BJ Medical College, Ahmedabad is a government colllege there will be no provisions for admission in MBBS through management quota, the admission in government colleges will be done through counselling. So you cannot get a paid seat in this college. And to get admission in any private medical college/deemed univeristy through management quota a candidate must appear for NEET UG.

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test UG is a national level entrance exam for admission in various medical and its allied course and the admission is based on merit in NEET UG.So you must appear for NEET.To be eligible a candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects from a recognised board or university.Candidate must have passed with atleast 50% in 10+2 for general category, for SC/ST it is 40%, for Pwd it is 45%.There is no age limit.

You can refer the article below for more detailed information

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-gujarat

blmedical college ahmedabad sc category round 1 counselling last rank was 35.

Dear Damini assuming you belong to General Category, in 2018 under State Quota, 567 marks secured a seat in BJ Medical College. Now this is 2018 data and we do not have 2019 data yet. But cut offs do change every year depending on various factors such ad no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Now considering all these factors, you should aim for nothing less than 625 for a seat in this college.

It is advisable to practise questions of Genetics from previous year question papers, which will give you a thorough understanding of how the questions are being asked. Topics of Plant and Animal kingdom have a lot of portion to memorize. You can prepare these topics by making a comparative table for the sub-topics and studying it together. Hello Abhishek......

BJMC is very good college as it is ranked 3rd in India for medical stream,so students who want to join in this college face a very tough competition.

And also the cutoff for this college is based upon caste reservation's-unreserved and reserved candidates.

Based upon the previous year's this year it might be a little bit toght competition in the previous year's the cut-off mark's are-

In 2018- for unreserved candidates under state quota is 600-605 and for regional quota is above 650

In 2018-for reserved candidates under state quota is 545 and for regional quota is 505

All the best......

Dear Hardik, we do not have 2019 data yet. Neverthless, in 2018, under State Quota, the cut offs for BJ Medical College for various Categories have been as follows:

General Category: 557

SE: 488

SC: 440

ST: 332

Now cut offs change every year depending upon various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. So based on 2018 cut offs, you should score atleast 75-90 marks to secure a seat in this college.
