The criteria for medical fitness differs for different fields and is dynamic. But for an average person to be medically fit, they -

• Should have a Body Mass Index from 18.5 to 24.9. This can be lower for women,
• Should not have any chronic or infectious diseases,
• Should have no physical or mental disability,
• Should have a fair percentage of muscle mass and an above average bone density.

Male candidates can definitely apply for Bsc nursing after the completion of 10+2. Male nurses are high demand and 'nursing is only for female' statement has lost its relevance. By becoming a male nurse a lot of opportunities in west opens before you. Countries like Canada, UK, Australia, Newzealand, Netherlands are looking for skilled male nurses and the payment is really big. Indian nursing council regulates the nursing field in India.

Number of Seats in msc nursing is : 27, however there are different stream in msc nursing. I have mentioned the seat structure below.

Medical Surgical Nursing : 08

Child Health Nursing : 05

Obstetrical and Gynecological Nursing : 05

Community Health Nursing : 05

Mental Health Nursing : 04
