      Chamarajanagar Institute of Medical Sciences is one of the best medical institutes in Karnataka. CIMS is admitting candidates based on entitled national-level entrance exams regarding the medical courses. Especially undergraduate students will be considered for admission through the above-mentioned national-level entrance exam, which is called the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). For postgraduate students, they will need to take their test under the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduate (NEET-PG) for them to enter the institution. With such a technique, students who really understand the field of medicine join the institute.

      CIMS is generally coming up with new school sessions around August-September every year, and CIMS admission to the same starts a few months before. Prospective candidates can check the official CIMS website along with respective examination websites to see if there are any new updates concerning the application deadline, exam date, and result announcements.  Candidates seeking admission into undergraduate courses should have qualified class 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as subjects. The Holders of MBBS degrees from a recognised university are eligible to apply for the postgraduate programme.  

      CIMS  Application Process

      The application procedure varies for application to CIMS according to the different programmes:

      For MBBS:

      • Candidates should qualify for the NEET-UG examination.
      • Registration for the counseling process according to government guidelines, either state or central.
      • During the counseling process, select CIMS along with the MBBS programme.
      • If allotted, report to the CIMS admission center for verification of documents and admission formalities.

      For MD/MS programmes:

      • The candidate should qualify the NEET-PG examination.
      • The candidate would further process in the mode stipulated in the inferred guideline of the concerned authority for participating in the counseling.
      • During the counseling, the applicant would opt for CIMS and the desired MD/MS programme.
      • If allocated, then report to CIMS for admission formalities, including document verification and payment of the required tuition fee.

      CIMS Degree wise Admission Process

      The college offers a undergraduate ad multiple postgraduate programmes for students. These courses' admission procedures have been explained below:

      CIMS MBBS Admission Process

      The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course at CIMS has an intake of 150 seats. CIMS admission into the MBBS course is based on the NEET-UG examination score. Candidates are required to have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects.

      CIMS Masters of Surgery (MS) Admission Process

      CIMS offers various MS programmes related to Obstetrics and Gynaecology, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Orthopaedics. The total number of seats in MS courses is 14. CIMS admission is through NEET-PG, via a counseling event afterwards.

      CIMS Doctor of Medicine (MD) Admission Process

      The institute offers MD programmes through community medicine, microbiology, anaesthesiology, biochemistry, and pathology. The total MD intake is 8 seats. Similar to the MS programme, selection for admission into MD courses depends on NEET-PG scores and counseling.

      CIMS Documents Required

      General documents that are required on admission generally include:

      • NEET score card (PG or UG as applicable
      • 10th and 12th-standard mark sheets and certificates
      • MBBS degree certificate and mark sheets (for PG admissions)
      • Valid ID proof
      • Passport-size photographs

      sir /madem 2020 cut off for this collage was around 60000 and for 534 marks for 2AG category. wheather this year there will be increase or decrease in cut off because in neet 2021 I got 545 marks with 50081 rank can I get this collage with2AG category
