Hi Amulya

In neet 2018 , 550 marks for required for getting a seat in Govt. Vellore Medical College, Vellore under all India quota

But cut off marks for medical colleges keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

For example, in neet 2019 cut off for medical colleges had increased by 30 to 50 marks on an average in comparison of 2018

So , you should try to get at least around 600 marks to be on the safer side in your neet 2020 examination

Now since , you are from kerela , you are not eligible for state quota in Govt. Vellore Medical College, Vellore, so you need to apply for neet , qualify it and then participate in all india counselling .

Dhaksh, you haven't mentioned your Category. Neverthless, out of 100 seats that CMC has 84 seats are Sponsored seats for Candidates of associated churches and wards of CMC staff. These are filled through merit cum preference in NEET. The rest 16 are Open Merit and 1 seat among these 16 is sponsored by the Central Government of India. With such less no.of seats allotted, to be honest 540 might be a tad less score. You might need 575 and above, This is again based on previous years data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no,of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Hello!

Sorry to say that there is no Roman Catholic quota in CMC Vellore. But Roman Catholic students can still get admission there. Many Roman Catholic students study there every year. If you perform good in practicals, interviews etc you will get selected. You can try St.  Johns college at Bangalore if you have Roman Catholic quota.

All the Best!

Abdul, applying for application doesn't guarantee admission to any college leave alone CMC. You need to appear for NEET and qualify in NEET. Then you need to appear for Tamilnadu State Counselling and secure a seat. CMC Vellore has 100 seats and only 16 are for Open Category seats and remaining 84 are for Sponsored Candidates of CMC. For any guidance during counselling and admission, you can use our MBBS Companion: https://www.careers360.com/mbbs-companion

Hi,

Well I would like to tell you that CMC is a really good college and that is why it is very much in demand by the students. And hence the cut off also goes a bit high and scoring a good score nearly 500+ will be a plus point for you to get a seat in CMC.

I hope my answer helps.

All the best.

Hope this helps!

Hi Bijaya

To take MBBS course in CMC Velore , you have to qualify NEET and obtain the require cut off for the admission.

All the best !!

Hope it helps :)

If you belong to Madhya Pradesh state and need a MBBS seat in Vellore college that is different state - Tamil Nadu. Then you will need to get it through the ALL INDIA QUOTA. Ever college has 15% reservation for the AIQ quota. The AIQ cutoff for a given particular college is greater than that for the state quota admissions. 549 was the cutoff for the AIQ in the year 2018 for AIQ quota OBC category in the year 2018. So you need to sccore more than this maybe more than 570/580 since cutoffs vary from year to year and from this year all the other medical entrance exams like AIIMS JIPMER are clubbed into NEET exam itself.

Thankyou.

Infrastructure of my college is really good. All the facilities are provided to students and teachers. Classrooms are well maintained. Each class has smart board and is fully air conditioned.
