All candidates applying to CMC Vellore for MBBS also have to apply to the Tamil Nadu Selection

Committee for the counselling process in the category of Management quota seats in Self-financing

Medical Colleges of Tamil Nadu.

Hello student ,

In order to get admission in Christian medical college, ludhiana you need  to qualify the NEET UG examination.

If you are a general or some unreserved candidate then you should have 50 % marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English to be eligible whereas for SC and OBC classes, the minimum passing percentage is 40% for each subject.

Hope it helps.

Thank you  :)

Hi Anju,

First of all congratulations! You've scored amazing marks! Regarding your question, well you belong to SC Category and with that sort of marks you can get any top edge colleges in India.

I'm not sure about CMC Vellore since it has 50% Christian quota. Maybe you'll make it. But rest assured that you'll get any good MBBS College through AIQ and through state quota you'll get the top college in your state.

All the best!

Hey Megha,

There are two types of quota for getting colleges in different states. One is All India Quota (AIQ) and the other is State Quota.

Since you don't have the domicile of Tamil Nadu you can't apply for Christian Medical College, Vellore through state quota. You have to apply for it through All India Quota.

This can be done by selecting your desired college in the portal NEET UG Official will release during the counselling period. Good luck!

Dear Aman, in 2018, under Management Quota, 448 marks gave a seat to CMC, Ludhiana under General Category. Going by that with 542 marks, yiu have a fair chance of getting a Seat in CMC Ludhiana with 542 marks.Having said that, cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors like top NEET score, no.of seats available, no.of candidates appearing for the exam.and difficulty of the exam. We would suggest you wait until the official Answer key has been released to assess your options.

Dear Saradha, if you hold Andhra Domicile Certificate and you want to apply for CMC, Vellore, you shpuld apply under All India Quota. In 2018, under All India Quota, CMC Vellore gave a seat to 536 marks. That was the cut off. Having said that, cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors like top NEET score, no.of seats available, no.of candidates appearing for the exam.and difficulty of the exam. We would suggest you wait until the official Answer key has been released to assess your options.

Hello Koneri!

As per the seat matrix released by the state government in 2018, only 12 of the 100 seats in the college were available for open category students - rest all are reserved.Out of 12 open seats - The first student to pick CMC was Raj Chendur Abhishek with a NEET score of 656. The last student to get admission in CMC under open category was Nanditha Vinodh S, who had a NEET score of 595.
So if this year, the same trend continues, it is going to be difficult to get admission with 505 marks.

(If you happen to belong to the reserved category, then the opening and closing marks may vary.)

Hope this helps! Do send your queries if you have more doubts.

Life in CMC Ludhiana and perks of doing MBBS from here

College Infrastructure

Infrastructure of my college is really good. All the facilities are provided to students and teachers. Classrooms are well maintained. Each class has smart board and is fully air conditioned. We have a really big library, provides us a good environment for self studies. For sports, we have really good snd well maintained grounds. And one of the best thing about my college is hostel life. It has one of the best hostel life , which we will definitely miss after graduation.

My overall experience has been great here.
