Government First Grade College, Ramanagara Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a library facility that is the heart of any institution and it is the place where knowledge resides. The library is situated on the ground floor of the college. It is established in the year 1982 with a modern collection, knowledge resources, and innovative information to meet the needs of the college. The library has a total of 46000 books. Each department has its own library. Library gives open access to students and teachers. The library is open on all days except Sundays and general holidays. It operates from 10 AM to 5 PM from Monday to Friday and 10 AM to 2 PM on Saturdays. A student can borrow 2 books in their name and they can keep the books for 15 days. Reference books are not allowed to take out of the library. With the introduction of new courses, new books are added to the library each year, The computerization of the library is going on.

The college has sports facilities academic learning and sports are complementary to each other. Sports develop the overall personality of the students and help in maintaining the physical stamina, the habit of obedience, discipline, the determination to win, willpower, etc. The students participate in many intercollegiate sports competitions at university and state level events and have brought laurels to the college.

The college has a full-fledged computer lab with 20 computers with internet facilities provided at the office, laboratories, library, departments, etc. has been established.  

The college has a canteen facility where students are provided food at concession rates at the college canteen.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has a boys’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The college has a girl's hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The college has computer and science laboratories that are well maintained with good equipment for the students. The consumables and non-consumables for the laboratories are purchased by individual departments with the help of purchasing committee through E-tendering.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The College has a First-Aid kit is available in the sports room. Students who require medical help in case of accidents and other sudden ailments are referred to the nearest nursing homes or government hospital.

The college has a transport facility for students and staff.

The college has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.

The college has an Alumni Association. The activities and contributions are as follows. The core and executive committees of the association meet twice a year to chalk out programmers and a general body meeting is convened annually. Members of the association provide feedback and offer suggestions on matters related to curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities.

The college has constructed a parking shed for the vehicles of the staff and students which creates a pollution-free campus.
