15 MonthsThe Post Graduate Programme in Management for Senior Executives (PGPMAX) is designed especially for Senior Managers, with busy work schedules that do not permit them to pursue a full-time MBA programme.
In a fast-paced environment, organisations cannot afford to grant long sabbaticals to senior executives to attend a full-time programme. PGPMAX addresses this need by allowing participants to undergo a formal, executive management programme with minimal disruption of their work and personal pursuits.
It is equivalent in content and rigour to an Executive MBA programme and arguably the first of its kind in India.
Programme Format
The Global EMBA equivalent programme offers campus experience. PGPMAX has a modular format and participants stay on ISB campus during classroom sessions and get the opportunity to engage with the ISB community.
- The programme duration is 15 months.
- Classes are held for a week after every five weeks.
- Participants travel to ISB campus in Hyderabad or Mohali depending on the class schedule for that module (week).
- Participants start the preparatory courses once admitted to the programme.
- There are ten modules in India and two modules in international immersions.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to apply for the programme the following criteria need to be fulfilled:
Bachelor’s Degree: The applicant should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in any discipline. An equivalent qualification will be determined by the Admission Committee of the programme and will include the likes of CA, ICWA, etc.
Work Experience: The applicant should possess a minimum of 10 years of full-time work experience post bachelor's degree as on the programme start date.
Admission Details
Applicants to the PGPMAX programme are evaluated on several criteria to ensure that the participants selected are well-rounded individuals. Each component of the application and the performance in the interview is important.
Selection of the participants for the programme is made considering a combination of many factors including:
- Leadership potential
- Personal attributes, maturity, global outlook, attitude/mindset
- Quantity and quality of work experience, e.g. people management experience, decision making experiences, significant responsibility, experience of managing budgets, etc.
- Achievement orientation
- Strong communication skills
- Likelihood of benefiting from the programme
- Motivation to participate in the programme
- Undergraduate degree performance
- Performance in the interview
