Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) Honours is a four-year full-time undergraduate Course offered by J D Birla Institute, Kolkata and affiliated to Jadavpur University, Kolkata.

Eligibility Criteria

Only Female candidates are eligible for admission to the UG Course.
Candidates must have good knowledge of the English Language.
A student must be passed Class-XII Examination of any recognized Board/Council recognized by Jadavpur University with a combination of four recognized subjects of which at least one is English and securing at least 50% marks in the aggregate.

Admission Details

Candidates will be short-listed first on the basis of criteria 1-3 mentioned below i.e. marks obtained in the Class-XII board examination and awards won.
All eligible candidates will have to appear for a Group Interview, only on the date specified; no change in the dates allotted will be permitted. Candidates who fail to appear for the Group Interview will be considered ineligible for the final selection.
The final merit list of selected candidates will be prepared based on scores obtained in the Group Interview.
Selected candidates will have to pay the fees within 24 hours of the merit list is put up or else the seat will be given to the candidate next on the merit list. Admission will be confirmed only after verification of all necessary documents (with the originals) by the college within the stipulated time.

College Infrastructure

Overall, my college experience was good. However, I feel the college should have offered more extracurricular activities and opportunities for students to participate beyond academics. More clubs, events, and competitions would have made the experience even better.

College Infrastructure

AC does not work. The seats are placed too closely to each other. Movement becomes very restricted. Canteen space has no ac, cleanliness is minimal. No rooms where you can study during free classes. Library requires to keep phone and laptop outside.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is quite good and provides a comfortable environment for students. Classrooms are spacious, clean, and well-ventilated. The library has useful academic resources, and computer labs are properly maintained. Basic facilities like drinking water, washrooms, and seating areas are available. Overall, the campus is decent and supports both learning and student activities effectively.
