Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering is a four-year full-time undergraduate Course offered by JNTUA College of Engineering, Anantapur recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 1946 offering four-year B.Tech course. The present intake of this course is 60 students. The M.Tech (Heat Power R & A/c) course was started in the year 1972, M.Tech. (Energy Systems) was started in the year 2001, M.Tech (Advanced I.C. Engines) and M.Tech (Product Design) was started in the year 2009. The present intake of all these courses is 25 students. The department is also having research facilities for Ph.D.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate seeking admission into B.Tech. The course shall have passed the Intermediate Examination of AP State Intermediate Board of Education or equivalent examination with Maths, Physics, and Chemistry as main subjects and must have secured a valid rank in the EAMCET Examination conducted by APSCHE. The seat allotment is made by the Convener, EAMCET as per the stipulated rules of A.P. State Government and APSCHE.

Admission Details

Admission for B.Tech will be through a State level entrance test – EAMCET / ECET.
