Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences, Madikeri is an autonomous institution of the Karnataka government and admits students into its programmes purely based on merit in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET UG and NEET PG). Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences, Madikeri MBBS Admissions

Out of 150 seats for the MBBS degree, 85 % seats will be allotted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (Karnataka) and will be open for admission to those who meet the requirements for the state quota seats. The all India quota (AIQ) quota will be allocated 15% of all seats from each government college's overall intake. To apply for admission, a candidate has to follow the following steps:

• Filling the NEET application form, which will be available in the online mode.
• Appearing for the medical entrance exam. 
• NTA will declare the NEET result along with the final answer key and candidates who secure the category-wise minimum qualifying percentile shall be eligible for the admissions.
• In order to get admission to MBBS course in the college under 15% AIQ scheme, eligible medical aspirants will be able to register themselves for the seat allotment process after they download the NEET rank letter. Next comes visiting the official website of mcc.nic.in and registering themselves, filling in the details, locking in their choices of colleges, and paying the application fee. Once the authorities release the seat allotment list, selected candidates will have to either accept the college or choose to appear in the subsequent rounds of counselling. If someone chooses to accept the allotted college they will have to report to the institute for document verification and completion of other admission processes.
• For the 85% state quota, the candidates have to fill out the respective state counselling registration forms. The authorities will then prepare the state merit list which will be used for admissions into the college. The authorities will then conduct a seat allotment process for state quota seats. If someone chooses to accept the allotted college they will have to report to the institute for document verification and completion of other admission processes.
• The candidates have to download the application forms provided in the admission brochure of the college and fill the same. The completed forms have to be submitted at the college office during the time of admission.

Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences, Madikeri MD/MS Admissions

For MD/MS degree programmes at Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences, Madikeri, NEET PG cut off is the main criteria. The candidate must hold an MBBS degree recommended under the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and must hold a permanent registration certificate issued by MCI or State Medical Council showing MBBS qualification. The graduates also need to have completed one year of internship. To apply for admission, a candidate has to follow the following steps:

• Filling of NEET PG application form; application fee payment
• Giving the exam
• Declaration of results
• The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the counselling. During the NEET PG counselling, candidates have to register, pay fees and fill out their choice of courses and colleges. On the basis of the choices filled by the graduates, NEET PG rank and seat availability, admission will be granted.
• 50% seats are available for the AIQ and the counselling for it will take place through mcc.nic.in. while the other 50% seats are the state quota seats and will be filled by the counselling authorities of the respective states.
• The candidates have to download the application forms provided in the admission brochure of the college and fill the same. The completed forms have to be submitted at the college office during the time of admission
