    Best among best.

    College Infrastructure

The college has a modern campus with advanced medical facilities. Lecture halls are smart-class enabled and air-conditioned. Hostels are well-maintained with good mess facilities. The hospital is functional with adequate patient inflow for learning. Overall, the infrastructure supports both academics and comfort.

    Academics

The academic schedule is structured and regularly followed. Faculty members are experienced and student-friendly. Clinical postings offer good hands-on exposure in various departments. Regular internal assessments keep students on track. Seminars and CMEs are also part of academic life.

    Placements

PG coaching and guidance are provided during internship. NEET PG results are encouraging with students doing well. Most placements are through PG entrance or government exams. The college has a decent academic reputation growing each year. Support is available for students aiming for higher studies.

    Value for Money

The fee is higher than government colleges but justified by facilities. Hostel, academics, and infrastructure match private medical standards. Scholarships and loan facilities are available for some students. Given the clinical exposure and environment, it's worth it. Overall, the experience matches the investment made.

    Campus Life

The campus is situated in a peaceful hilly area of Solan. Students enjoy cultural events, sports, and fests throughout the year. Clubs and societies offer platforms for extracurriculars. Peer environment is positive and socially active. Campus life is balanced between academics and enjoyment.

Have a question related to Maharishi Markandeshwar Medical College and Hospital, Solan ?

These are the main responsibilities of a PG student in any medical institute:

    • Dealing with medical records
    • Clearing your thesis or research article with your mentor/ guide
    • You will be allowed to perform surgeries in the Operation theater,

Along with this, according to a new law by the government, all post graduate students will get a three month mandatory posting at surgical hospitals, starting this academic session (2020-21). This will ensure that every hospital gets specialists, and the PG doctors too get proper exposure.

    hello there!

If you are from India you need to complete your Post graduation in relevant subject with at least 55% marks, or B+ grade or equivalent in 7 or 10 point scale CGPA. The relevant subject definition is changes as per interpretation by the authorities in which university you are taking admission.

Next step is to qualify the entrance test that is Ph.D. Entrance test or eligibility test. If you clear any othe NET or ICMR or JRF exams, then you will be exempted form the PET exam.

Then go to the university site and find out institutes of that university where you want to work and know about the guides. Approach the institute and enquire if they conduct their own entrance and or interview for admission. Apply there if they have vacancy. and then based on your performance in admission exam and or interview you will be enrolled.

    The steps are

Post graduation in Microbiology or related subject

PET or NET or any other Ph.D qualifying examination

    i hope this helps

    goodluck!
