Academics
I have enrolled myself into the Bachelor Of Dental Surgery(BDS) course. This is an undergraduate course of 4+1 years. In the first year, the year I'm currently in, we build the foundation for future dental subjects. We study basic subjects which includes Dental Anatomy, Oral Histology and a few medical subjects like Anatomy, Biochemistry and Physiology. The dedicated teaching faculty are of the highest caliber and carry out their roles with precision. The curriculum is up to date.
College Infra
MCODS,Mangalore is a constituent unit of MAHE. It is spread over three locations conveniently accessible in the city,namely Light House Hill Road,Attavar and Bejai with dedicated facilities in each of them. A total of 311 dental chairs, state of the art dental equipment, centrally air conditioned library, lecture halls,surgical skill centers and access to the newer generation of dental materials to ensure the best training for undergrad and postgrad students. Hostels are separate for boys&girls
Campus Life
College campus is friendly and it's in a safe environment. The people around are very friendly and helpful. The support staff and the teachers are wonderful and help you in several ways. The students can lounge around in the canteen or hang out in the reading room or study in the library. Location wise, the campus is safe. There is also a 24 hour security guard presence in the campus with additional wardens and managers who help keep the students safe. Medical emergencies are handled swiftly.
Placements
MCODS is the country's first dental college to admit 100 students to the BDS course from the very first year of inception along with commencement of postgrad programs. In recent times, the numbers of girls have exceeded the number of boys per batch. The students at our college consistently excel in academics and extracurriculars and have achieved top ranks in various national competitive post graduate entrance examinations.
Value For Money
The annual fees is 6.6 lac. From luscious campus in Bejai,equipped with a basketball court,well-maintained hostels to the busy campus of LHH, with world class preclincal apparatuses and a central library. The Attavar campus is equipped with dental chairs and phantom head simulations. The MARENA, a vast sports complex that offers facilities for college, is the pride of our college.The teaching faculty is abreast with recent advances of dentistry.Activites and seminars are held throughout the year

the curriculum is based on ground rules set by the dentist council of india. The best part of the college is that the student who is willing to learn can approach the teachers at any time . The teachers are really helpful and intelligent.
College Infra
MCODS Banglore has the best of equipments and infrastructure for its students. Starting from digital XRat machine to CBCT Scan to microscope for root canal treatment to keep up with the pace of the world. The library facility is amazing with superfast interent and centralised A.C. It has separate sections for UG, PG and students with ample of books. We also have hostels with all variety of room like non AC , with AC, shared, single room. The food is manageable and u also have option of ordering
Campus Life
the campus is student friendly and connected by rail, roads and air. We have a dentist week where many activities are held . Then there is intra university fest and other than that many competitions takes place throughout the year
Placements
Most of the students go for masters after completing BDS. Some of them drop an year to prepare for entrance exams of masters and also some prepare for going abroad. Though you get very good internships opportunity during the last semester of this course
