Regional Institute of Printing Technology Kolkata (RIPT) is a well-established institute in the field of printing and multimedia education. It provides 3-year diploma courses in Multimedia Technology, Photography, and Printing Technology. The institute renders an admission procedure so that it can choose deserving candidates for its specialised programmes in technical education.
Regional Institute of Printing Technology admissions occur via two main entrance tests: the Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics, West Bengal (JEXPO) and the Vocational Lateral Entry Test for Entry Into Diploma Courses (VOCLET). These tests are conducted on an annual basis by the West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development (WBSCTE&VE&SD).
The JEXPO examination essentially covers candidates who are completed with their 10th standard (Madhyamik) or equivalent examination and have their specific and essential qualifications. On the contrary, VOCLET concentrates on candidates who have already finished their 12th standard (Higher Secondary) or equivalent examination with vocational subjects.
Common factors that determine eligibility to Regional Institute of Printing Technology normally include:
For JEXPO, candidates had to have passed the Madhyamik (10th standard) or equivalent examination from a recognised board.
For VOCLET, candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary (12th standard) or equivalent examination with vocational subjects from a recognised board.
The application process to get registered for admission into Regional Institute of Printing Technology involves the following steps:
