Shillong Engineering and Management College, Jorabat Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has a well-stocked library with an adequate number of titles of books related to Engineering and Management education, which caters to the needs of students and teachers. Besides course-related books, the library also stocks general and technical books. The College also subscribes to a sufficient number of foreign and Indian research journals, periodicals, magazines, newspapers, etc.

The college canteen is located on the College campus. Attached to the canteen is a stationery shop to provide stationery items, tea/coffee, snacks, and cold drinks to the students and hostel boarders.

The college's Separate hostel facilities for boys are provided within the campus with all the basic civic amenities and security. A senior teacher of the college remains in charge of the respective hostel for its proper supervision and control.

The college is a well-equipped computer laboratory loaded with Windows XP/ UNIX / Linux-based systems with supplementary subsystems. Presently provisions are made for DOS and Windows-based workstations totaling more than 100 in number. Provisions are also made for language processors for FORTRAN, PASCAL, C/C++, Visual Basic, etc. Multimedia-based computers are also available. All the systems are connected in a LAN configuration in Client-Server Architecture.

The college's Well-equipped laboratories with contemporaneous and state of art devices and systems enable syllabus-oriented experimentation and academic research.

The college's Facilities for indoor games are being provided in the academic building for students and a playground - for volleyball, basketball, football, cricket, etc. Provisions are being made for a gymnasium.

The college's authority is introducing a to-and-fro regular reserved bus service between Guwahati (Panbazar) and Jorabat for the benefit of the students and staff on a payment basis.

The college provides a doctor who regularly visits the college twice a year for medical consultation.
