College infrastructure deserves 5 star but im giving 4 stars because there r some small things which are not there that is there must be dustbin in all classes. Projector of some classroom are not working must be serviced and college must have proper wifi connection and password of the respective wifi must be provided to all students as sometimes we need internet for studies.
Im studying bsc lifescience the quality of teaching is fine but the teachers must complete their syllabus on time and must discuss the questions that can be asked in exams. One more thing as we are of bsc program life science course we mostly get traine teachers in the chemistry department, we want to study from the permanent teachers of our college. The teachers of our college teach much more better than outsider teachers.
For placements i want to say as the placement cell offers jobs of commerce level to all students which is mostly beneficial to the students of commerce department. Im a student of bsc and the placement cell must offer the jobs which are related to sciences field also.
In first year my course fees was around 21k and present in 2nd year we gave 28k fees. Yes its worth because this year many teachers were not appointed till the end of the semester
The campus life of college is amazing and simply awesome. The jannat area of our college is just wow. As in winters we get coffee in jannat area but nothing in summer. I want that in summers some refereshing tetrapack juices/shakes must be served in jannat area as its too hot in summers.
Overall the college is good but i would like to add one more thing as the name of college is famous all over india and people from everywhere come here to study. But there must be some more courses also offered here like bsc polymer science ,bsc industrial chemistry ba sociology and bvoc vocational courses
Yes our clg have all the necessary facilities n equipment. All d classrooms are air conditioned . Our library is very good . The living spaces are always clean in our college .There is also facility of hostel in our college but it is for girls.
I'm studying chemistry hons.I choose this course becoz I'm good in chemistry.According to my experience the teaching quality of teachers in our course is outstanding. The ranking of of this college in chemistry course is good.
Our college is very supportive in this case . But I don't know about the average salary offered to the students n either I don't know what percentage of students were placed. I thinkthe qualityis good
27000 per year
Our college campus is good . There is also h big ground in our college.
The most effective way to build community is to ensure that it has the space to take root and grow.the more resources that can be directed towards student spaces, the more opportunities and incentives student have their time on campus. Our college infrastructure is good. But it can have some changes also . The wifi quality is not on the best. It doesn't seems to work on time neither it works.it has the worst signals. Yes the library is the best.but it should also have some new books and should ma
I am studying bsc physical science with computer science as I had my interest in computers and programming and sciences of Course. The quality of teaching is average .some teachers teach at their best but some are average .yes the curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field.no I cannot say that what I am studying will makes my job ready or not.as I have to persuade my msc degree also.i think after that studying will makes my job ready.and it will open many places.
The quality of placements is not so good as far as I know.the college facilitated placements of 25+ companies(both on and off campus)in the year 2018-19 which is an increase of 500% from the previous academic session.the total placements worth for the year has been over 2.5 cr.the highest package was 10 lakh and increase of 300 percentage from the preceding year.placement cell of our college is now in the league of top 7 placements cell's across university of Delhi.usually the companies offer pa
The college campus has one of its class in the entire Delhi University reputation, college has one of the best classrooms of which most classrooms gives a sense of charismatic status. The college library is best equipped with electronic records of every little commodity in the library arena. And finally the location of the college is the best nearest to gtb nagar and Vishwavidyalaya metro too.............. College has air conditioners so college journey is going to be Indian railways 3tier trip
Well qualified teachers with lots of affection and compassion and also friendly And helpful. Best thing they give enough knowledge you require in a graduate level. Teachers are best to keep up your track records in your academics and be honest nothing more than that is actually required
No placements for B.A programme and that's a big issue. Every course should have placement as we all already know the equality factor always is in rarity in the incredible INDIA but hope that in future my lovely young buddies would perhaps get any placement perhaphs is the point note it!!!!
To less to pay in such a gigantic college amenities to pay for.
Delhihites are quite introvert or less interactive in nature they are like, contact you when they need help so that's a selfish nature to be honest. Campus Life will be like lots of lovely sardarjis but only you without friends writing a blog like this sitiing alone....:)
Very balanced and decent experience enjoyed , studied , attended seminars but finally a blooper that I didn't had a girlfriend like all:)
Yes my college have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment.. Classrooms are clean we have achi in every class room. Wifi speed is too good in some places. Living spaces is clean and the food hygienic.
I am studying Bsc physical science with computer from khalsa college. Quality of teaching is good teachers are innocent and helpful. Yes I think that my curriculum is updated I don't think my study makes me job ready.
Quality of placement is low in my college. 20 to 30 percent of students were placed. If they are Lucky 8 lakh is the heighest package offered for bcom students. 4 lakh is the average salary offerd nopes placement process is not so easy and pleasant.
I pay 29000 for my course Bsc physical science with computer. I don't feel that my money are getting worth because there are no chance to have placement. And in other colleges fees is lower than this.
My college campus is best so many activities where a student can join and develop himself. there are many societys like dance singing painting bhangra and more. Location is safe nearest to metro station. Vishvavidhyalay and gtb nagar.
I have a good experience in my college. So i can't say anything wrong about my college but truth is always truth we can't change the truth. Our college has biggest groud and ya Punjabi's girls also.... ??
Our college is having necessary infrastructure, equipments and facilities..But yet there more improvement needed. Wifi doesn't work well . And there are not much facilities for children of other groups than science . And Yes the living spaces are clean and food is also hygienic.
I am studying political science and quality of teaching is average only..All the teachers doesn't explain their lessons well except few teachers. And the curriculum is also not updated . and also this study doesn't make us job ready .
As I am a student of political science honours.. We dont get much placements in our fields and there are not much companies offering us jobs and for other courses the placement cell works well. There should be more improvement too..
Our course cost per year is 22,000 .And yes the money is getting its worth as our college is having much more facilities provided to us than the other colleges of Delhi University. Facilities should increase for the students and this fees should remain constant.
Campus Life is Really Well.Students have so kuch to explore. Teachers are really supportive. And the worst feature is the lack of discipline in our college.
The infrastructure of the college is one of the best in the university with air-conditioned last rooms with projection facilities and Internet campus wide wired as well as wireless network having internet connectivity. One may experience a good vibe and a beautiful environment in the college. Each room is equipped with A/c facilities, large space, average infrastructure but a nice one. Also facilities like projectors, labs, gym, canteen etc are available.
I am pursuing BA HISTORY Hons. Perfect quality of teaching, teachers are very friendly and understanding. The curriculum is up to date and includes recent knowledge about new technologies. Seniors too, are very humble.
The college has been successful in coordinating on campus placements since 2006 companies like TCS, Wipro ,Tech Mahindra ,IBM Daksh, GenPact, ICICI Prudential and Ernest and Young have recruited on the basis of on campus selection.
I pay ₹18,565 for my course. Relatively yes,The value for money is well recognised.. The courses, activities, seminars, campus, library in a college improve was technically and help us work irrespective of our branch.
Campus life is delightful.I have made many friends here in this campus. Each student is supportive here. Location is safe and secure, the college is very disciplined with the needed freedom given to its students.Teachers are very encouraging and inspiring.
There is a medical room in our college but it remains closed till now as no doctor ever visited to our college. So if any student or staff member or anyone have some health issue in the campus , we have no medical facility and we have to go far to reach a medical clinic.
I am studying BA PROG. course. I choose it because of civil services . Quality of teaching is good as some teachers are putting their 100% towards the students. But some teachers are not ideal for students as some of them do smoking outside the college gate which leaves a poor impact on students brain.
Don't know much about all this placement stuff. As I am a BA PROG. student, there is no such kind of placement procedure in our course. You will get more information about this from our B.Com. hns. Students.
In terms of infrastructure , it is one of the best college in delhi University. It has all the facilities which we expect from a govt. College. Libraries are well maintained. Labs are properly equipped. Lecture halls have ACs . College ground is quite big. Volleyball court , basketball court are quite ok . Hostels are one of the best in DU but they are only for girls. Living spaces are clean and canteen is okay as well.
If you want an academic career then it is perfect college for you. Professors are highly educated and there is a positive atmosphere in classes. I am persuing chemistry hons. Curriculum is updated and practicals are regular and properly assessed.
Placements in du is not so good except for some colleges and courses. College has a placement cell which helps students to get placed. Commerce students get placed more often than science and arts. It is quite descent.
Bsc. Students have to pay 30k fees approx per year. It is more than other colleges in DU but its okay because we are getting facilities according to it. Not every du colleges have ACs in their classes but we have.
So here comes the point . College is fun. So here you will get it for sure. You will surrounded by Amazing peeps all around. You will have intellectuals , nerds , party peeps and many others who will be there with you at all the bunks ?. In terms of students - teacher interaction , it is perfect. They always support you. College location is perfect. It is nearly 300 m from metro stn.
PS:- Go for it. Don't think if it is minority college or not. You will definitely get all the fun and perks of north campus and DU life. Try to make more and more friends . Be interactive. You will enjoy a lot. All the best.
My three years in the college were amazing. Faculty is very amazing, they are always helpful. Talking about infrastructure, It is among the top 3 colleges infrastructure-wise (I have gone to all the colleges of North campus). Library facility is the best. Fully Air conditioned. I guess Khalsa college has the best library in the North campus. Talking about fees structure, fees in Khalsa college is higher than any other college of DU. In some courses it is even 3 times of the other colleges.
Every year many students clear IIT-JAM exam and get the top ranks. They are studying in top Universities like IIT, JNU and DU after graduating. Teachers are quite relaxed with internals, but you have to perform well.
Science students can sit in placements but usually companies hire Commerce or Economics students. Placement cell is quite active, but still it lags in providing placements to science students. Obviously, science students cannot clear the interviews of finance and marketing based companies.
I pursed Bsc. Hon. Chemistry. In first year I paid around 21k for Bsc., which is way higher than other colleges. Second year it costed me around 24k, yeah! they increased the fee. In final year I paid around 29k which is way too higher, every year they increase the fees.
Khalsa college is very near to metro station, 100-150m far. So, it is easy to reach the college. I guess North campus has its own perks, you can interact with other colleges students. But, it is not far from other colleges not very near. You can go to other colleges fests and enjoy. You can participate in many competitions in other colleges.
College has many societies. You can join any and improve your extra curricular activities performances. Few societies are not very active but others are quite active. College has amazing ground, beautiful gardens where you can relax with your friends.
