Sri Sathya Sai College of Homeopathic Medicine and Hospital, Dharwad, is the famed center for homeopathic education in Karnataka, and for over three decades now the college has been grooming students into future homeopaths. The admission procedure for Sri Sathya Sai College is formulated to select the best-qualified and most motivated candidates for the Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) program.
The college uses a national-level admission process based upon the NEET UG examination. This facilitates the creation of a pool of students who possess a strong fundamental background in science subjects and are able to sustain the rigors of the homeopathic curriculum. The NEET UG score constitutes the most vital criterion for admission to the BHMS at Sri Sathya Sai College.
To be eligible to the BHMS program, candidates have to pass 10+2 or any other equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects. They should fulfill the age requirements and other criteria laid down by the Central Council of Homeopathy, CCH, and the college.
Application Procedure
The application procedure of Sri Sathya Sai College of Homeopathic Medicine and Hospital, Dharwad, is as follows.
1. NEET UG Registration: Candidates should first register and appear for the NEET UG examination, organized by the National Testing Agency.
2. NEET UG Examination: Attempt the NEET UG examination on the prescribed date, which examines Physics, Chemistry, and Biology knowledge at the level of 10+2.
3. Result Declaration: Wait till the declaration of the NEET UG result by NTA.
4. Counselling Registration: Eligible candidates need to register for state-level counselling (for Karnataka) or All India Quota counselling, as applicable.
5. Document Verification: Candidates should appear for document verification along with required documents (NEET UG score card, 10+2 mark sheets, domicile certificate, and any other relevant certificates).
6. Seat Allotment: On the basis of the NEET UG rank and document verification, the seat will be allotted to the candidates.
7. Admission Confirmation: For admission to Sri Sathya Sai College, candidates will have to report, if given a seat, for document submission, fee payment, and medical check-up as the final admission process.
Degree-wise Admission Process
BHMS: The Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) is the flagship program run by Sri Sathya Sai College of Homeopathic Medicine and Hospital, Dharwad. It is a full-time course for 5.5 years with one year of compulsory rotatory internship. Admission to the BHMS program shall be lies on the performance of the candidate on the NEET UG examination. The college caters to 50 students taking the program, as per the authorized intake. Eligibility includes 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and meeting the minimum qualifying percentile in NEET UG as prescribed by the regulatory authorities.
