SVVP VMC Degree and PG College, Visakhapatnam Admission Process

SVVP VMC Degree and PG College, Visakhapatnam as it is affiliated to Andhra University and the admission due is mainly based on merit-based admission which counts only marks secured in qualifying examinations.

For the undergraduate admission, the candidate must have marks in the qualifying examination of 10+2 from any other recognized board in order to get selected in the college. The admissions usually begin with the declaration of the results of the 12th standard during May and June months. The academic year begins during August and September month. Candidates must have undergone their higher secondary education with the required combination of subjects as per the interested subject for the program that they have selected for admission.

Marks of relevant Bachelor's degree are scored as part of the entry for postgraduate studies. The institution caters to very many areas of specialization for each of the courses whereby students will be able to select what best relates to their career. The PG admission process usually starts right after the announcement of the results of undergraduate students around June and July.

Application Process

The process of making the application is quite simple and straight for one to apply to SVVP VMC Degree and PG College. It involves the following steps:

  5. Application fee payment: Pay the specific application fee by the college. Payment modes and amounts will be therein the application form.

  6. Await merit list: The college will prepare a merit list based on obtained marks in qualifying examinations and post it in the college notice board.

  7. Counselling and seat allotment: According to merit and availability of seats, shortlisted candidates may be called for counselling sessions to allot the seats.

  8. Fee payment and admission confirmation: Candidates should deposit all required fees within the given time after a seat has been allocated to confirm their admission.

  9. Verification of documents: All original documents will be checked during the time of admission by the college authority. Carry all original certificates as well as photocopies.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce):
The college provides B.Com courses in English and Telugu medium. The admission criteria are the marks obtained in 10+2 taking into account the subjects relating to commerce. The Telugu medium comprises 60 seats as part of the program.

B.Sc (Bachelor of Science):
There are different courses offered under the B.Sc.

  • B.Sc in Botany, Zoology and Chemistry (1st year, Telugu medium): 60 seats

  • B.Sc in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science: 36 seats

  • B.Sc in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry: 30 seats
    The admission will be on a 10+2 basis, especially following marks in science subject areas.

BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration):
The college has opened 60 seats for the BBA program. Admission is based on the analysis of marks obtained in the 10+2, where preference is given to the students who have previously studied commerce or its allied subjects.

BA (Bachelor of Arts):
Specialized honors degree programs include Public Administration; English Literature; Psychology; Economics; Social Work; and History. The admission will be based on 10+2 marks in the respective portion of attendance.

M.Com (Master of Commerce):
The M.Com program admission criteria are determined by the B.Com or equivalent degree marks obtained.

MA Social Work:
40 seats are available for admission to the MA Social Work program in the college. Admission will be based on the obtained degree marks in the relevant bachelor's.
