48 MonthsBachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Food Technology is a four-year full-time undergraduate program approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and offered by the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram.
Eligibility Criteria
The Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry as one of the optional subjects, with at least 45% marks put together in the above subjects, are eligible for admission. In case the candidate has not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science shall be considered. In case the candidate has not studied Chemistry and Computer Science, the marks obtained in Biotechnology shall be considered. In case the candidate has not studied Chemistry, Computer Science, and Biotechnology, the marks obtained in Biology shall be considered. The marks as shown in the mark list of the Board of Examination obtained from the respective Higher Secondary Board shall be considered for academic eligibility.
Admission Details
Admission Process:
- There are 60 seats in each of the disciplines. Fifty percent of the seats (thirty seats in each discipline) are filled by the controller of Entrance Examinations based on the marks secured at the Common Entrance Test.
- The remaining seats are management seats to be filled on the basis of merit.
- Candidates who wish to be considered for the seats under the management quota shall apply separately to the Institution.
