According, to careers 360 COEP has AAAA+ rating which means outstanding and VJTI has AAAA rating which means good.

(A : Lowest Rating || AAAAA : Highest Rating)

If we compare both the colleges in terms of placement then both are good colleges but if you have to choose one you can go for COEP.

At VJTI, only good thing is campus placement.

Companies like Morgan Stanley, Samsung , Siemens, Barclays, Credit Suisse, Cisco and many more great companies still visit for campus recruitment here.

But you have scored better and you have to improve chemistry.Better drop one year to take admission at IITs.

Congratulations on getting getting Electrical Engineering in VJTI , But this does not satisfy your reason for dropping a seat in an premium Institute like IIT.If you have some  reason behind  dropping a seat in IIT ten go for it.
