Vinayaka Mission's College of Nursing—the one among reputed nursing colleges—is located in the Union Territory of Puducherry—and is a pioneer in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs in nursing. Application Process

The general application process for various programs is as follows:

For B.Sc Nursing:

1. Presently undergoing the All India Common Entrance Examination held by VMRF(DU).

2. Clear the entrance test.

3. Give an application to the college along with the entrance score and requisite documents.

4. Attend the counseling if shortlisted.

For Post Basic B.Sc Nursing and M.Sc Nursing:

1. To send at least the academic and all other required documents.

2. Merit list is prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

3. Counseling conducted by the Admission Monitoring Committee (AMC) of VMRF-DU.

Degree-wise Admission Process

For B.Sc Nursing: Admissions are by virtue of the All India Common Entrance Examination conducted by the VMRF(DU). The programme has an approved intake of 60 students. Eligibility checks will be made on the INC and VMRF-DU conditions.

Post Basic B.Sc Nursing: Merit-based on the marks scored in the qualifying examination. Counseling of application made by AMC of VMRF-DU. Eligibility by INC and University norms.

M.Sc Nursing: Specializations are in:

1. Psychiatric nursing

2. Paediatric nursing

3. Community health nursing

4. Medical and surgical nursing

5. Obstetrics and gynaecological nursing

GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery): Approved intake of 50 students, it is expected to happen in adherence to INC and VMRF admission criteria.

Documents Required:

• Academic Mark Sheets (10+2 or Bachelor's; whichever applicable)

• Entrance exam scorecard (for B.Sc Nursing)

• Transfer and Migration certificates

• Caste Certificate (if applicable)

• Other documents as per college guidelines.

Selection Procedure:

• Verification of documents.

• Entrance test result, if any.

• Counseling on the basis of merit (PG Programs).

• Categorical seat allotment as per regulations.
