VPM's Ramniklal Z Shah College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Mumbai Admission Process

VPM'S Ramniklal Z Shah College of Arts, Science and Commerce (VPMS RZSC) is a famous college in Mumbai that provides various full-time bachelor's degree courses in different streams like Arts, Science, and Commerce. Patients deserve to be admitted in the college because of its modalities of admission. The college generally starts its admission process for the following academic year in the months that follow the declaration of 12th standard results.  Basic eligibility for most undergraduate programs would be completion of 10+2 from a recognized board. The college usually calculates the marks in the qualifying examination (12th standard) for admission. For different programs, cuts off percentages may be set based on the number of applications received and the available seats. Some specialized courses, though, may have other requirements or selection procedures. Admission to B.Com Banking and Insurance is clearly mentioned in having a merit-based entry process, for example.

      Application Process

The steps generally involved in application for VPMS Ramniklal Z Shah College of Arts, Science, and Commerce are:

      1. Declaring Admission: The college declares through the official website as well as local newspapers about the admission process.

      2. Application Form: Students need to acquire and fill up the application form. This may be available either online on the college website or at the college admission office.

      3. Document Submission: Along with the completed application form, candidates need to submit the following documents:

      • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets (original and photocopies)
      • School leaving certificate
      • Caste certificate (if applicable)
      • Any other specified by the college

      4. Merit List Preparation: The college prepares merit lists for each program by taking into account the marks obtained in the qualifying examination (12th standard).

      5. Merit List Publication: Based on merit lists, all students have to monitor them on the notice board of the college and possibly on the official website.

      6. Counseling and Seat Allocation: Students shortlisted in the merit list may be called for a counseling session where candidates will be able to choose their course according to merit rank and seat availability.

      7. Fee Payment: The merit-listed candidates must deposit the admission fees within the prescribed time limit to claim their seats.

      8. Document Verification: The college will verify all documents submitted by the applicant before admission is confirmed.

      Degree wise Admission Process

B.Com: The college has a standard normal B.Com which will have about 240 seats. Likely admission will have something to do with the marks scored at the 12th standard level, mostly subjects concerning commerce.

B.Sc: The B.Sc program has 120 seats. Marks in science subjects in the 12th standard examination are considered in the admission.

BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies): This program, which has 60 seats, might involve two aspects in its admission process that is academic performance and any relevant management aptitude tests.

BA Multimedia and Mass Communication: This is a specialized program that has 60 seats. Admission might also involve an evaluation of academic performance and perhaps an aptitude test or interview on media studies.

B.Sc Information Technology: 60 seats are likely to be offered in the course which imports admissions purely based on 12th standard marks with the juggling of subjects in mathematics and computer science.

B.Sc Computer Science: Once again, like the above-mentioned B.Sc in IT, this program has 60 seats, and accordingly, the admission process would include emphasis on performance in mathematics and computer science in the 12th standard.

B.Com Accounting and Finance: With 60 seats, admission to this specialized commerce program is based on merit, with performance in commerce-related subjects in the 12th standard under consideration.

B.Com Banking and Insurance: This graduate program has a total of 60 seats for students and is specifically stated to be following a merit-based admission process likely considering performance in commerce and mathematics in the 12th standard.

      Academics

The teaching faculty in this college is knowlegable and good. They explain the programming and theory subjects very well. the syllabus is well designed and covers many important topics like c++,Java,Dbms, dsa, python ets.

      College Infra

The college Building is simple but it is well maintained. updated and functional labs are there in the college. The library is also decent and has a large collection of books. The classroom and labs are cleam and neat.

      Placements

There are limited placements available for BSC CS students. few companies come for the internships or even the entry level roles. most students actually choose higher education like MSC, MCA etc . only few go for private job.
