Anna University is one of the oldest institute of engineering and it also holds good nirf ranking comparable to the different IIT. Lab facilities in Anna university is little above average but faculities of chemical engineering is very much supportive.They will help you to grasp more practical knowledge than bookish thoughts and also it will help you to get internship and better psu's with good package if you study well.

According to your tnea and BC community rank you will get seat in Thiyagaraja college of engineering for courses like civil,mechanical,Information technology,mechatronics but it is not possible to get seat in ECE and CSE department.

Im not very sure what that means. But i think you mean to ask if anna university helps in any way for gate preparationa and to the best of my knowledge, it dosent. And i dont think any college does. Gate exam is gigen individualy by the student and it cannot be used as an excuse against the college .
