No, your tnea cutoff is too low. So you can't get admission in top colleges under anna university. For getting admission in top colleges your cutoff should be above 180. So better to get admission in good top colleges,you have to try it under management quota.

The cutoff is within 200 marks. Since you have scored 171 marks you can easily get admission in Anna university. You will get your desired branch in the university. Using obc category your closing rank also becomes lower making you eligible for admission with your desired branch.

You would be making it to the colleges like SSN Institute of Technology, Alagappa college of engineering, MIT, Anna University, Chennai with mediocre branches or might also land up in any of the mentioned colleges with branches like Printing Technology, Marine Engineering, Mining Engineering, etc.

You have not mentioned which category you belong to. With a cut off score of 128.25, it becomes difficult to secure a free seat. For almost all the colleges, you will have to pay the fees. Around 150 colleges participate in the TNEA counseling, which are affiliated to Anna university and you can choose any one from among them. Also, try applying for scholarships and write exams for those, so that it could help you financially. college infrastructure is very decent modernized well equipped with necessary facilities. the classrooms are installed with smart boards to access virtual learning. the labs and libraires are well maintained with new techs and books. the college also provide hostels for both boys and girls with mess facilities
