Since you got 184 cutoff in new basis and you are asking a seat in Thiagarajar College of Engineering.Well my answer is it depends on your quota that is like BC,MBC.For BC MBC OC BCM the Minimum cutoff is 191 and for SC/ST/SCA the Minimum cutoff is 140 for every courses.

You have got 89 cutoff on the new basis of scheme and you are asking eligiblity in CEG and MIT.Well my answer is: it is not possible to get seat because CEG will get filled at 95 on new basis and in MIT it will get filled at 90 for all courses.Hence you can try some other colleges.

Your cutoff is 169 and you are asking several college in coimbatore.Well my answer is in Coimbatore Institute of Technology it is not possible to get placed and same in Kumaraguru for any quota that is BC,MBC,SC,ST.Whereas in Sri krishna College you have slight chance to get placed.

Well, securing 184 marks may not be enough for getting admission into Anna University or MIT especially in CSE branch. But still you can give it a try at the time of counseling and there are also other private and constituent college where you can apply at the time of counseling.

Candidates whose parents are employees in public sector or government recognised institutions at the time of application submission in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years can also apply for admission, irrespective of their domicile. However, such candidates will have to enclose a certificate from the employer along with the application form stating that the person is a permanent employee of the form or institution along with evidence like income tax return, PF slips etc and is working in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past 5 years.

                      I am here to help you with your question. As you belong to other state(non-Tamilnadu) you can apply through management quota if you didn't write TNEA. You got 9.9 GPA that means 99%. Your marks are calculated for 200 by considering 100% marks from maths and 50% from chemistry and 50% from physics. Anyway even though your system is GPA but you will be given GPA for every subject.

For eg: if you got 10 in maths and 9.5 in both chemistry and physics then it means you got 100 out of 100 in maths and 95 out of 100 in both chemistry and physics that means based on above % consideration you will get 195 out of 200

        In this way, marks are calculated. So it doesn't matter whether it is marks or GPA.
