I would like to tell you that in general you have to give entrance exam to join any engineering college in biotechnology. It's better if you go through jee.

The cut off marks depends upon various factors such as question paper complexity, no. of candidates appeared for the exam, highest marks obtained and many more. Thus, the cut off changes every year. Also, there are various category and quota is also present. Some of the seats are reserved for the candidates of home state.

So, overall, if you are a candidate of home state then you need to have more than 40 marks in GATE (out of 100) and if you belong from other states then you need at least 50-55 marks in GATE to get the chance of admission.

Hello,Since the number of seats offered is lower in university campus but since it is self supporting course you have a chance. Other government seats  has a minimum cut off of 90.You can try for management quota in private colleges.But if you choose bio technology you have a higher chance of securing a seat in top institutions.

A B.Tech Biotechnology graduate can give GATE exam in M. Tech Food Technology.

Candidates must have a valid GATE Score with a qualifying score for assistantship in appropriate discipline of Engineering/ Technology. They must also have a recent TANCET score, that is conducted by Anna University.

Actually you have a very good rank in your category rank. But then also you have 50-50 chance of getting anna university because the competition is tough as it has only 25-30 seats in total. You must have a backup plan means you should search for other colleges like CEG Campus

If truth to be told you have like no chance of getting anna university in embedded systems because your percentile is very low. You may have to look other colleges if you are looking for embedded seat. Although Anna University is going to release its list on its official website you can check it. But according to me you have to look other colleges.
