Amity University | M.Tech Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked amongst top 3% universities globally (QS Rankings).
Dear candidate
Getting into Anna University depends on many factors like your category, the branch or course you are going to, and your category wise respective cutoff score or rank so, no standard score to it as it changes every year based on the difficulty of TANCET exam also so, in general with 90.9 percentile your roughly calculated score will be around 25 to 30 or less so, as you didn't mention you category i am considering it as and for general category you should score a least of 50 to 55 marks to get into Anna University so, it is quite not possible for you to get into Anna University with 90.9 percentile in open category but if you have any reservation it may be possible.

Dear Aspirant,
All the branches you have mentioned are witnessing a drop in the placements in the recent years, especially mechanical and civil are having lowest placements.
I suggest that if you are not interested in the civil engineering then go with PRODUCTION ENGINEERING. It is a specification of the mechanical engineering and therefore have more job orientation than the parent branch,
Hope this helps. Thank you.

Hello,
Based on 2019 cut off you may have chances of getting seat in Anna University Madurai Campus and Tirunelveli Campus but not Coimbatore campus. The cut off is given below
Irrespective of your category you may get seat in CSE in these two campuses. These are last year cut off and the cut off changes every year. It may increase and decrease.
Hi dear,
According to last year the minimum cutoff for Anna university was around 138. This year counseling will start on 17th September. So you should wait. Final cutoff may decrease if difficulty level has increased this year. So it is better for you to wait till final cutoff release by college.
Hope it helps
Hello,
Here is the cut off for the following college that you have enlisted for admission to Chemical Engineering. Please check them and you may arrange your preferences which are close to the cut off in 2019 and your cut off
Based on this you have decent chances of getting seat in St. Joseph's, Sri Venkateshwara, Kongu Engineeing College and tough chances of getting seat in other colleges listed above. So you may keep St. Joseph's, Sri Venkateshwara, Kongu Engineeing College as first three preferences and remaining colleges following. Anna University does not offer Chemical Engineering. But you also need to consider in which college you are interested to seek admission so if you are interested in SSN, CIT, CERCI then you may also keep as your highest preferences.
Cut off may increase or decrease depending on number of candidates applied, number of seats available etc.
Hello,
