Compare to any other college in Tamil Nadu, CEG holds good placement records. And it varies with every department.. Top recruiters are Caterpillar, L&T, many automobile companies like Huyndai, TVS, etc and software Giants also come for placement every year

One thing I'm very sure about placement in CEG.

Yes ofcourse you can definitely take your exam from cs even if you did your BTech from ece. This is a confusing among many students but many students take there exam from a different branch than there own.
