Bachelor of Technology in Computer Engineering is a full-time four-year course degree Offered By Delhi Technological University, Delhi and approved by AICTE. The academic programs in the University shall be based on the semester system; Odd and Even semesters in a year with winter and summer vacations.
A number of courses shall be offered in each semester. Each course shall have a certain number of credits assigned to it depending upon the academic load of the course assessed on the basis of weekly contact hours of lecture, tutorial and laboratory classes, assignments or field study or self-study. The courses offered in a semester shall be continuously assessed and evaluated to judge the performance of a student.
Each course shall have an integer number of credits, which reflects its weight. The number of credits of a course in a semester shall ordinarily be calculated as under:
Lectures/Tutorial: One lecture hour per week shall normally be assigned one credit. One hour of tutorial per week shall be assigned one credit. However, the credits may be adjusted further by taking into consideration the quantum of work required to be put in by a student for learning the course having two/three hours of contact every alternate week shall have one credit only.
Practicals: One laboratory hour per week shall normally be assigned half a credit. Not more than three credits may be assigned to a practical course having only a laboratory component. The courses having two/three hours of contact every alternate week shall have one credit only
I Year: Odd Semester
II Year: Odd Semester
A candidate securing 60% or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and have passed English as a subject of study at the Senior School Certificate Examination Level (Core or Elective) AND having JEE Main 2018 Rank (Paper 1) shall be eligible for admission to the first semester of B. Tech. / B. E. course provided he/she has passed in each subject separately.
B.Tech Lateral Entry: Three-year regular diploma in any branch of engineering awarded by any state board of technical education/diploma recognized by AICTE, Delhi.
