your JEE mains rank is really low try any private college and even then you will get mechanical engineering only when you have really good 12th PCM score

There are many oppurtunities of placements for a Civil Engineer in construction groups and companies like L&T, Welspun Group, Ajnara, Supertech etc. You can also go for many medium enterprises like Indus Floors, Hercules systems etc. After GATE qualifying, you can go for Govt sectors.

According to placements record both Institutions provide best placements but remember that placements at done by your result also so kindly see through it which branch you will prefer more in according to your interest so you got the placement early.
