If you are getting both the colleges then I will advise you to go for iiit Jabalpur. IIIT Jabalpur has been ranked higher, it has lower fees than iiit city, mechanical is an evergreen branch and so you should go for iiit Jabalpur. But again I'll say that

IIIT sri city is good in terms of palacements. While the institutes don't reveal their exact placement data, you can visit the official website or their facebook page to get placement stats.

The closing rank at IIIT Sri City in 2018 (general category) was 22525 for Computer Science and Engineering 26764 for Electronics and Communication Engineering. This year's cut-offs are also expected to be similar. Therefore, given your rank, you will not be able to get any seat at IIIT

Between IIIT trichy also know as IIIT srirangam and the IIIT sri city, they are almost same not that much difference. Their cut-off ranks were almost same but IIIT trichy is little bit better at some point. There was no much difference between both the colleges placement also.
