IISER KOLKATA IS THE BEST INSTITUTE OF INDIA FOR RESEARCH IN PHYSICAL SCIENCES CHEMICAL SCIENCES MATHEMATICS BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES AND COMPUTER SCIENCE. IT IS A STATE OF THE EARTH INSTITUTE FOR RESEARCH OF BASIC SCIENCES.

College Infrastructure
Facilities and infrastructure are quite good and satisfactory, like Wi-Fi, which is available 24 hours a day in all the labs, classrooms & libraries, as well as on the hostel premises. The quality of food in the mess and canteen is decent and very much eatable but it depends on the taste of the individual. Medical facilities are available on campus and ambulance services are there for any emergency.
Academic is quite rigour, Bad placement.

For IISER Kolkata, the maximum rank required to secure admission can vary each year based on the number of applicants and the difficulty of the exam. However, based on previous year a rank around 883 in the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2024. might be a good benchmark for general

Candidates need to secure a minimum of 60% marks/equivalent grades in Honors/Major (if applicable) in aggregate, or 60% marks/equivalent grades in aggregate (if Honors/Major is not applicable), And 50% for other category than general category like SC,ST and other category.
