Hello Koushik,

It's a bit difficult to compare these two because these two IITs are considered to be good but if you see in terms of ranking obviously IIT Madras has an upper hand over iit bhu.

So, it also depends on your interest that whether you like coding or you like to deal with circuits. But as per current scenario I would recommend you take up iit bhu.

Hello aspirant,

Both the colleges were regarded as India's best engineering institute. You can choose any branch according to your interest.

I'm describing both the institution for the respective branch recent placements records, hope it will help you to make a better decision;

IIT MADRAS - Electrical Engineering -> Almost 80% of students get placements from EE branch yearly. The highest package received in the year 2018-19 is 39LPA. You can expect an average package around 10LPA from the recruiters. The companies which have visited the campus for placements were Flipkart, Huawei, Intel, Cisco, IBM, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Samsung, etc.

Well, you will get a good placement with a handsome package. That is sure. As AI is on trend now every new gadgets is working or will be working with AI in future. So in the field there is a good scope ahead.

Dear Abhishek ,

As per your SC category rank , you can get the following branches in IIT Madras , based on last year cut off :

  • Aerospace engg
  • Chemical Engg
  • Civil Engg
  • Metallurgical Engg

But this prediction may not be true 100% for some factors that can effect every year's cut off trends (like difficulty level of exam, seat availability etc)

You can check the last year cut off JEE ADVANCED for IIT Madras from this link:

Hello,

Taking the previous year cut off rank in to consideration. It is quite difficult to get seat in an NIT with such rank under SC category. However, here is the list of few IITs in which you have slight or low chances of getting seat based on previous year cut off

  • Indian Institute of Technology Jammu: Materials Science and Engineering- 3007
  • Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi: Bioengineering with M.Tech in Biomedical Technology (5 Years, Bachelor and Master of Technology (Dual Degree))- 3039
  • Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee: Chemistry (5 Years, Integrated Master of Science)- 3014

As you can see the cut off is below 3484 so the chances are very low to get seat in an IIT. But cut off is subjected to change it may increase or decrease depending on factors such as total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc. So it may increase or decrease this year based on above mentioned factors.
