Indian Maritime University Chennai Admissions
Indian Maritime University Chennai offers admission to various diploma, undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and doctoral programmes. IMU admission to UG courses like B.Sc, B.Tech and DNS is based on Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET) while admission to BBA course at IMU is given on the basis of merit of class 12th. Similarly for PG courses like M.Sc, MBA and M.Tech is provided through IMU CET while for PGDME is done on the basis of the graduation merit of the applicant. While admission to Indian Maritime University Chennai Ph.D and M.S is done on the basis of two written tests (MCQ and descriptive) conducted by the Indian Maritime University Chennai and then appear for personal interview. Indian Maritime University Chennai offers scholarships to all its students on the basics of their academic performance. The IMU scholarship provided at IMU Chennai is based on the post matric scholarship provided by the central government through themediom of state governments and UT’s. To get a seat in IMU the candidate should have cleared entrance exam conducted by IMU.
Eligibility -
Candidates shall have cleared class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics with 60% aggregate and 50% marks in English. Provided, candidates appearing for the examination in 2022 will also be eligible. The age of candidates shall be within 17 to 25 years. A relaxation of 5 years will be allowed for the reserve category.
