Amity University | M.Tech Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked amongst top 3% universities globally (QS Rankings).
First of all it is 2nd year lateral entry program. But for applying into it you must have completed 2 year B.Tech program, i.e. one year back.
It is conducted in 2 stages :
1. Written Examination
2. Interview
For written examination, I would personally suggest you to study all topics of your all 4 semesters properly and give extra attention to those courses when they might be covered in your college. (or if you study separately) :
You can expect question paper to be completely logical without any derivation etc etc. The main motive of the written examination is to check understanding of your concepts at the first place.
Bonus: In subjective question you can expect questions as
Algorithms - 2
Mathematics - 1
Operating System - 1
Rest others…
The question paper pattern has been modified. The 2017 exam only had MCQs. There were 60 questions to be solved in 180 minutes.
If you did the written properly it would be followed by a INTERVIEW.
Feel free to ask me in the comment box if you are having any further doubts
hope you find it helpful
Good Luck!

No it is very difficult for you to get a seat in iiit hyderabad if your general rank is 2 lacks around considering it as general category rank and fact that you belong to general category so for getting iiit hyderabad your rank should be below 10k so do not worry, you just need to work hard in order to get such a good rank.
Good luck for your future :)
Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.

Hey Ujjwal! Admission to B.Tech and dual degree programs in Indian Institute of Information and Technology Hyderabad is done through JEE Main score, UGEE, DASA, and lateral entry to dual degree research programs in CSD/ECD. Hope this may help you. You can refer to the link below.

Hello,
IIIT Hyderabad is one of the finest institutions in India providing undergraduate and postgraduate courses in CSE, ECE and other related disciplines. Every year students are attracted towards the high package offered by the college and thus the competition of UG courses in very tight. The closing ranks is below 100 for all the courses and thus I would suggest you score above 99.5 percentile in the JEE Mains to even hold a chance for Btech from IIIT-H.
Hope it helps
Hello,
As per the official sources, IIIT Hyderabad never discloses how many students were selected for the UGEE interviews. It was not disclosed in 2018 and wasn't either in 2019. Generally, people make intelligent guesses but they are prone to get wrong. Thus I would refrain from guessing and telling you any number but rest assured if your interview is good, you would be getting the selection mail.
All the best
dear aspirant,
lateral entry test for engineering is not so hard as JEE to crack, you have to go through your basic course subjects so thet things are made simpler.
General Aptitude: R S Agarwal or GATE book
Discrete Mathematics: Johnsonbaugh or Rosen
Digital Logic: Morris Mano or Floyd
Computer Organization: Hamacher or Stallings
Programming: C by Dennis Ritchie.
best of luck
The infrastructure is pretty good. They have good classrooms and really good facilities at the lab. The college has a great research culture, with a huge chunk of money being invested in research labs. The Wi-Fi facilities are not that good, and the network is not that good. Also, all classrooms are not air-conditioned. The hostels are also pretty good. But there's one issue with hostels, which is drinking water. It has happened many times that drinkable water is not available on many floors. Also, the lift does not work properly and gets stuck many times.
The infrastructure is amazing. We have spacious classrooms. Laboratory is well-maintained. Sports facilities are also good. LAN is also provided in every classroom. It provides a good library. Our campus is Wi-Fi-enabled. Canteen facility is also good.
our college have all neccessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments.there are sports centres also in my college which can give students additional opportunities for their skills.college hostels have wifi systems all over it.
