No Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University College of Engineering Hyderabad does not accept JEE Main score for admission. Candidates have to register online, apply and appear for Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test conducted by Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad, The college accepts only TS EAMCET score for admissions in B.Tech course based on the marks secured in TS EAMCET, candidates have to participate in the online counselling process of TS EAMCET conducted by Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).

JNTUH was established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in the year 1965. The institute is also known as JNTUHCEH. The institute is formerly known as Nagarjuna Sagar Engineering College. JNTUHCEH is affiliated to Osmania University, Hyderabad and is administrated under the control of the Department of Technical Education. After the establishment of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) in the year 1972, it was made as a constituent college of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and was renamed to JNTU College of Engineering, Hyderabad.
