KIIT Facilities

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Bhubaneswar provides a wide range of facilities for its students and staff members. KIIT University facilities include separate hostels for both boys and girls. The KIIT hostels have all the basic facilities such as a dining hall, internet connectivity, reading room facility, and others.

KIIT has a well-maintained library that has a wide collection of reference books, textbooks, e-journals, print journals, magazines, newspapers, e-journals, e-books, and CDs/DVDs. Along with all these KIIT University campus facilities include indoor and outdoor games facilities on the campus as well. Other KIIT University campus facilities are a gymnasium, hospital, cafeteria, auditorium, Wi-Fi facility, swimming pool, classrooms, guest room and other facilities. Boys Hostel
The university has a hostel facility for boys. KIIT University hostel facilities include an attached canteen serving good quality foods. Each hostel has a 24-hour reading room and facility for indoor and outdoor games. The hostels also have a hygienic kitchen and dining hall along with a round-the-clock internet facility.
Girls Hostel
The university has a hostel facility for girls as well. The KIIT University hostel facilities include canteens, outdoor and indoor games, and a dining hall with internet facility. The hostels are well-maintained and are kept clean and tidy.
Medical/Hospital
KIIT University has a medical and healthcare centre on the campus premises. Ambulance services are made available on-call in case of medical emergencies.
Gym
The university has a Sports & Fitness Centre that has a swimming pool and multi-gym. The gym helps the students to keep their physical health and fitness in check.
Library
KIIT has a central library that has vast collections of books, textbooks, journals, and other things. The central library hosts a wide range of books, e-journals, e-books, 4.3+ million thesis and dissertations, print journals, bound volumes, rare books along with other reading materials. The university also has a digital library that is accessible to students 24*7.
Sports
Sports activities are an integral part of KIIT’s curriculum. Sports activity in KIIT is facilitated by KIIT Stadium, 12 Sports Complexes with swimming pools and Indoor Stadiums distributed in different campuses. The university also has facilities for indoor games. The stadium, which can seat 40,000 spectators, has facilities for Cricket, Hockey, Kabaddi, Football, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Throwball, Basketball, Rugby, Handball, Netball and Track & Field (400 m). KIIT’s sports facilities also include a Central Indoor Stadium – Biju Patnaik Indoor Stadium that has facilities for Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Billiards & Snooker, Chess, Carom, Health Club, 12 Station Multi-gym and Yoga Centre.
Cafeteria
The canteen at KIIT serves delicious multi-cuisine food including soft and hot drinks, snacks and ice creams. The university has a total of 15 food courts specialising in cuisines from different parts of the world. The food menu of KIIT University includes Odia, South Indian, Chinese and continental dishes.
Auditorium
The university has a Central Convention Centre Complex houses a world-class auditorium having a seating capacity of 1600. Various functions, programmes and conferences of the university are conducted in these auditoriums.
Wifi
The institute has access to high speed internet connectivity to help students get easy and quick access to their academic requirements.
Swimming Pool
As a part of the recreational activities for the students, the institute also has a swimming pool that the students can easily use.
Classrooms
KIIT University has well-maintained digital classrooms equipped with all the latest learning tools for students.
Guest Room/Waiting Room
KIIT University has three well-furnished guest houses for the accommodation of delegates, waiting parents and staff. The university has well-furnished guest rooms equipped with uninterrupted power supply and network connectivity.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of my college is pretty good. Its really big and well maintained. The buildings are new and clean. My campus is campus 12 its very beautiful, almost every campus has a dedicated garden when students can chill in their spare times. The classrooms are air conditioned and pretty accessible for even people with disabitlities.

It was overally a good experience.

i wanna join in kl University in vijayawada actually i have done my first year in KIIT bhubaneswar with 7.7 cgpa is it possible to join in kl without paying extra money

Yes, you can apply for a transfer from KIIT Bhubaneswar to KL University, Vijayawada, but KL will treat you as a new admission through their lateral entry/transfer policy. This usually means you’ll need to go through their admission process, submit migration/transfer certificates, and get course equivalence approved. However, you will not get a direct fee waiver KL University will charge its own tuition and may not adjust fees already paid to KIIT. You can request concessions through the admissions office, but full transfer without extra payment is generally not possible.

I have 96%Ile in JEE MAIN, obc-ncl, female candidate, homestate- outside odisha Do I have chance to get into KIIT CSE branch? Or which college would you recommend for that %Ile? I would prefer CSE branch.

Dear aspirant,

With 96 percentile in JEE MAIN, and being an OBC- NCL female candidate you have a decent chance of getting CSE in many good private colleges but not in top NITs unless your OBC rank is within 10,000 . Since you're from outside of Odisha, KIIT doesn't offer state quota advantage , but you can still get CSE there through KIITEE or direct admission if seats are available, as it’s a private university. Some good colleges for you includes Shiv Nadar University, LNCT Bhopal , MIT-WPU, Pune , SRM,VIT, Jaypee Noida . If budget allows, you will get CSE admission in top private colleges.
