NIT Manipur (NITMN) All Questions

It is very tough for you to get into any NIT with your common rank list rank of 138998 but can surely get into one with your SC category rank in the newer NITs. 

Do try in the following nits 

NIT Meghalaya 

NIT Goa 

NIT Andhra Pradesh 

NIT Raipur 

NIT Agartala 

NIT Shillong 

I suggest you also try for the IIITs as they are equally good as some NITs and can fit in easily with your rank. Best of luck 

There are 2 NIT Srinagar, one of them is in Jammu and Kashmir and the other one is in Uttarakhand.

For the same branch you should go in this order

NIT Uttarakhand > NIT Srinagar (J&K) > NIT Manipur

Both NIT Uttarakhand and NIT Sringar is well established and better in terms of placement and academics than NIT Manipur

           If you're not going for a brand, you should choose LNMIIT over NIT, Manipur. Since the placement record is far better in LNMIIT than NIT, Manipur. The NIT is located near seven sisters falls which is relatively far from the actual locality. If you check the HS quota cut off rank you may get a shock. Take decisions wisely.

Hey. Since you got 85 percentile, your rank is expected to be around 1,30,000 . Hence you might get into NIT Manipur easily if it is in your home state. But if not it is not at all possible at this percentile to get into NIT Manipur. I hope this answer helped. All the best.

I see that you want to do architecture from top colleges , but considering the rank which you got in jee mains paper 2, which is above 8000 rank , although you are an obc candidate ,still it's too much for getting into the top colleges.

What i see is that you won't get any nit with this rank . Sorry for that.

With category rank of 55k, you have chances of getting admission in NITs of north-eastern states. As you are giving JEE Mains score for admission you won't get IIT. For IIT, JEE Advanced is must. In order for admission to NITs, you must register in JoSAA. JoSAA is the authority that conducts counselling for admission to NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and IITs. JoSAA calls candidates for admission through several rounds of counselling and that too using JoSAA rank list. This rank list involve only those who applied for JoSAA counselling.
