See, National Institute of Technology, Raipur or NIT Raipur is an institute of national importance, and the B.Tech programme which is offered here is completely a residential programme and all the students are supposed to live in hostels. So, all the students taking admission in NIT Raipur are allocated hostels without any discrimination.
So, you'll definitely get a hostel at NIT Raipur. Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
If you are comparing these both colleges, then I assume that you want to go for the CSE field, and for that I would definitely advise you to go with NIT Raipur over IIITNR. See, the legacy of NIT Raipur is unmatched and all the major companies from Microsoft to Google come here for placements, so you'll have more opportunities here.
Even the fees of NITR is less than IIITNR and the average placements are as follows:
NITR: 9.7 LPA
IIITNR: 8.6 LPA
So, in my opinion, NIT Raipur is better. Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
Hello Ayush
NIT Raipur is ranked 63rd in the MHRD NIRF. IIIT-NR, however, has not even been added to the list. Even though IIIT-NR is expanding incredibly quickly, there is still a long way to go before it can rival NIT RR in size. You cannot select a college based on its facilities and availability of Wi-fi. When compared to IIIT NR, NIT RR will offer better exposure and opportunities. If you don't obtain a decent branch, I advise going to IIIT NR and keeping NIT RR as your top priority.
Thanks
If we consider the reputation of the two colleges, then NIT Raipur is a much older one and definitely commands a higher respect in the industry than IIIT Jabalpur. Moreover, NIT Raipur invites many big-shot companies in it's placements, and being an ECE student, you'll get the same opportunities as a CSE student as most of the companies that come for CSE roles, also allow ECE students to sit for the interview.
If you go for IIIT Jabalpur, you'll get a CSE degree, but will miss out on a better college life, and the placements will be good, but you won't get much variety in placements if you decide to go for a different field or role.
So, in all, if you want a CSE degree with good placements, go for IIIT Jabalpur, while if you want a holistic life with good placements, go for NIT Raipur CSE.
Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
See, NIT Raipur is a very old college and is widely recognized. So, if you want a highly reputed college with good placements, then go for NIT Raipur as almost all the good companies come for placements at NIT Raipur, and due to strong coding culture, most of the NIT Raipur ECE students get placed in software and IT companies which are at par with CSE students.
So, if you want to go only after a CSE degree, then you should go for IIIT Jabalpur, while if you want a holistic development with good placements, then you you should definitely choose NIT Raipur.
Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
Dear student,
As per your question NIT Rourkela vs NIT Raipur on the following basis:-
Academic and Faculty:- NIT Rourkela has comparatively better faculties, NIT Raipur is also improving very rapidly in this sector.
Placement :- Comparing overall branch package goes in the favour of NIT Rourkela again. But comparing th CSE and electrical field both are almost equal. Both have 90%+ placement ratio in CSE and related stream.
Alumni Network:- NIT Rourkela has a better alumni network as compared to NIT Raipur but it is improving here also.
Location:- Raipur is capital and therefore connectivity is good and it is preferable for companies to hire easily. Rourkela is also growing but here NIT Raipur has an edge.

Hello Aspirant,
Coming to your query lets compare the two institutions.
IIIT-NR is a relatively new college and has less strength. There are no well established clubs, committee or training and placement office yet.
NIT-RR is well established in terms of Alumnus support, events and placements.
So in case of NIT- Raipur and IIIT-NR you can go for NIT Raipur
Hope this helps!!
Dear aspirant,
As you want admission in nit Raipur cse and considering you would be having the benefit of home state quota and obc then you need to score atleast 180+ to get into this branch in this college.
As you are now starting from zero let me tell you that it's very important to be focused and study very efficiently. It is not required to study 10-12 hours in a day. But whatever you have studied you should have studied very efficiently because you should remember whatever you study and kindly practice as much mock papers you can.

The infrastructure of NIT Raipur College is decent; being situated in the city, the campus area is not extensive. The classrooms and labs are well-equipped with Wi-Fi, and other amenities are appropriately arranged. There are 7 boys' hostels and 2 girls' hostels. The mess and canteen facilities are effectively utilized. Sports and game facilities are exceptional.
The infrastructure as compared to other NITs is pretty low. There is only one main building and one building for architecture. There are boy hostels only for B.Tech. and limited seats in girls hostel for Masters. The main building has access to everything, including library, labs, etc.
There is a huge campus. There are many fields like Athletics ground, football ground, swimming pool of 10 feets. The college has all the necessary facilities. There was canteen also and which was very hygienic.
