My suggestion is to go and opt NIT Rourkela because when compared to other one it's really good and also placements are very decent. It's the old college tok and the no of PhDs are good. Campus facilities are more than enough.

No sorry but no chance for you at NIT roukela.Try for good private colleges like thapar nimra amrita and more.You will definitely get admission there with that rank.Good luck and all the best.
In 2015 the closing rank of mechanical branch at nit rourkela was 8919 at the end of first round of counselling

Ur chances are good but U can get desired branch in north eastern nits

You can get private college in other states like: Haryana, UP, West Bengal, Punjab, Rajasthan, Maharashtra. Most of the states have reservation for other state students in private colleges based on JEE Main score/rank. You need to apply
