Yes you can get NIT - Trichy with 95% as you belongs to SC Category . For the candidates to qualify for the admission in the NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE(Main) ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards.

First of congratulations to get vit CSE and NIT Trichy Mechanical
But as per my suggestion NIT Trichy is considered as one of the best NITs in India
Beside IITs it is ranked 9th as per NIRF Rankings
So it's a very big thing
I understand you want to pursue CSE and you've already got seat at VIT, but VIT has its cost implications
But highest package offered by VIT was
41.6LPA and average package is in range of 7 LPA
whereas for NIT Trichy highest package was 70 LPA
and average package is same around 7 LPA
Fee structure
in VIT it's about 14 Lakhs whereas in NIT Trichy it's about 7lakhs

You have not mentioned if the candidate come under NCL or CL. If it is CL then she is considered as general category candidate. As said with 189 marks her overall percentile is expected to be in between 99.49 - 99.69 and her overall rank will be in between 2750 - 4400 and category rank will be in between 402 - 1452. In 2019 the cut off for admission in NIT, Trichy under home state category was as follows

ECE

• Open 9158
• OBC-NCL: 3010

CSE

• Open:5325
• OBC-NCL:2165

Considering this she has decent chances of getting seat irrespective of her category (OBC-NCL or OBC-CL). This was the cut off in round 7. You have not mentioned whether you belong to OBC-NCL or OBC-CL. Candidates belonging to OBC-CL are considered as general category.

Your overall expected rank will be around 47795 And your category rank will be in between 11000 - 14000 based on our JEE Main rank predictor . Considering 2019 cut off you may have chances of getting seat in Production Engg if you belong to OBC-NCL the cut off was 11223 in round 7. If you come under OBC-CL then it is difficult to get seat in NIT, Trichy. Cut off will change every year depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty of exam and number of seats available.

First of all Congratulating you on your nice performance that you scored such a nice percentile and I would like to tell you that based on your rank in general category and considering the fact that you belong to SC category, you are eligible for SCGL quota, and there are lot chances that you will get nit trichy with civil engineering. You might get better college and more decent branches due to reduction in number of student appeared for exam this year due to covid.

Hello student. Considering your percentile, your rank would be around 13,000-17,000(assuming you took exam in september) . And you have not mentioned obc-cl or obc-ncl caategory.

If your cateory is obc-ncl, then you might have chaces. That too in the branches of chemical engineering. But if the category is obc-cl, then you might not be able to get a seat in nit trichy.

Yes You can get a seat in NIT Trichy but some how low percentage might create a problem for you. But You also belong to OBC Category and that's also the plus point so it will be very helpful for You. There are very good chances of yours.

It is not possible to predict the exact score but we can provide you the previous year cut off rank so that you will get an idea. You have not mentioned your category and state. We Assume that you belong to general category from other state. In 2019 in round 7 the cut off rank to get admission to B.Arch in NIT, Trichy under general category other state quota was 1075 and for BITS, Mersa it was 3548 under general category other state quota. So depending on this your overall rank rank must be in between 1000-3500. To secure such rank you need to score minimum 320-350 marks. The cut off in 2020 is subjected to change, it may increase or decrease slightly depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty of exam and number of seats available.
