Congrats!! for getting NIT TRICHY

Fee Structure FOR NIT TRICHY:

• Academic fees :

92750rs for first semester, more than rest of the semesters because it includes    some one time payment fees.

After that 70 thousand  - 80 thousand for other semesters.

• Hostel and mess fees :

40 thousand for first semester, more because include some one time payment      fees, and 35 thousand for other semesters.

So total fees for NIT Trichy is around 2.2 to 2.5 lakh/year for OBC

Some fee waivers policy,

• No Tuition Fee for those General/OBC students whose family is having less than 1 lakh per annum income. Tuition fee, which comes under academic fee, is of 62.5 thousand per semester and 1.25 lakh per year. So your academic fee and total fee will be reduced by 1.25 lakh per year from 2.2 lakh - 2.5 lakh per year.

• Only 1/3rd of the Tuition Fee needs to be paid for General/obc students whose family is having income between Rs.1 lakh to Rs.5 lakh per annum. Tuition fee, which comes under academic fee, is of 62.5 thousand per semester and 1.25 lakh per year. So your academic fee and total fee will be reduced by 86 thousand per year from 2.2 lakh - 2.5 lakh per year.

All aspirants necessarily need to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) after which they can apply to DoMS NIT Trichy. After screening the application forms we call the suitable candidates for GD-PI. During the GD-PI rounds, the candidate is evaluated by a panel of experienced faculty members and industry experts. The evaluation is based on the candidateas personality, communication skills, confidence level, and ability to grasp, conceptualize and present the subject in a meaningful manner. The CAT score is given a weightage of 70 percent while the remaining 30 percent is equally distributed between the rounds of group discussion and personal interview.
