Hi there,
Hope you are doing well.
I really can't hold my laugh after watching your question.
For NIT Trichy CSE, there are only 4 seats out of which 2 are reserved for native Tamil Nadu students and 2 for All India Students.
and 1104 students ahead of you are also trying for those 2 seats.
Do you really think that you will get even an imaginary chance for those seats?
hope it would help.
Thank You
Hey!there
Seeing your score and previous year cuttoff of JEE,you seems not elligible for CSE in NIT TRICHY with this score and under general category.Even from EWS quota, chance if getting CSE seems less. You can get core stream in other top NITs with EWS quota.
Visit below mention link to know which Colleges you can get;

Hi Aspirant
This is one of the toughest choice that an aspirant has to make during JEE counseling.
NIT Trichy is one of the oldest NITs of the nation where as IIT Indore is a 2008 generation IIT , so in terms of alumni network you will get it better in NIT Trichy.
But IIT Indore is one of the fastest growing IIT right now, so you will get a lot of opportunities as well.
So you will have to weigh between these two and see which suits you better along with the location benefits.
Hope this helps. All the Best.
hey dharshiniit
its totally based upon your luck as anything can be happend .it is quite tough.. that there will be much fall in the cutoff marks in second or third round but i think it will reach at 38 marks so yes chances are there .better to check out the previous year trend also

best of luck
Hey Maniraman, hope you are doing well. At this percentile your AIR might be around 200k. So at this rank it is not possible to get into NIT Trichy. You can try for private colleges which accept the jee mains score like Nirma University, Sastra University, Thapar University, etc. Hope it helps!! Good luck!
Dear Aspirant, hope you are doing well. EWS is newly introduced category so nothing can be predicted with it's rank. You can check for your chances by comparing your common rank list with the previous years cutoffs of general category here:-https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff. Hope it helps!! Good luck!!
Hello,
See every branch has a good scope , it totally depends on the students studying there. If he is good then he won't have any problems.
Now talking about you. You are saying that you are having 8340 rank in OBC category. Considering you are not home state.
It's not possible for you to get a seat in NIT Trichy in any branch. You should stop thinking about it .
It might be possible that you get some average NIT with lower branch or some lower nit with good branch. You should see nit Patna , Jamshedpur , Durgapur or some colleges like that. You should visit josaa website and see previous year closing rank. You will get an idea.
Hope it helps.
Thank you

Hello Chaithanyaa,
NIT Trichy is one of the best institutions in the country with regards to placements for postgraduate students. Though the placement finally depends upon your competency and technical skills.
The Industrial Metallurgy M.Tech students will be sitting for at least a few company placement processes. In some of these processes, you will have to compete with students from other specializations as well. Fewer companies come looking for Metallurgy students in particular, compared to most other specializations. And this also depends on the requirements of the company and market fluctuations.
So if you're a Metallurgy student, there are opportunities, but there's stiff competition as well. So work on your technical and soft skills and hope for the best.
Hope this helps.
T Nagamani,
Placement percentage for every branch in NIT trichy is above 90.
Almost every students get placed.
There are more than 200 companies visiting the campus. Every major company in every sector visit the campus. They provide very good placement training. The rest depends on you.
If we talk about lower branches like
MME- companies that visit are Vedanta Tata Steel etc.
Yes every major company in every sector visit the campus.
Hope it helps.
The infrastructure of college is quite good , big and well designed . The classroom is properly ventilated and has smart board for effective learning, The library has all the books of different categories and students can issue any of the books in respective time. There are many grounds for respective sports and properly maintained periodically.
It’s campus is so big that moving from one department to other requires a lot of time else you can use bicycles. The view of college is amazing. There is wifi facility along big big classrooms and labs. I don’t suggest you the mess food.
So the campus is having very beautiful greenery all around which makes the best nit of india look great. The hostels are although developed but their can be some improvements to make it advanced. I like the mess food.
