Ranked #45 Among Universities in India by NIRF | 1950+ Students Placed 91% Placement, 800+ Recruiters
Not great, but is enough. It has decent benches and chairs. But we are still using a black board. Campus is quite small, but we have enough cpass rooms. We don't have any auditorium or proper club houses though
I was pursuing my BTech in Mechanical engineering. Professors were quite good, but because they already knew that the students here are all good as they have cracked JEE, they didn't pay much attention.
Placement is quite good. Every student (if eligible) got placed in our batch. Though the average package of placement was 6LPA. Maximum were placed in 3.4-4 LPA jobs, in mass recruitment. Core company numbers that came for interview were less
Absolutely. Per semester, we were charged around 10-15k , which is very reasonable. In that cost the ROI is more than 100% which is really good. I think the quality of education can be developed a little more. Except that, everything is decent
There are a lot of clubs that students are part of. Campus life is a little tricky for hostel girls, as the entry time for hostel is 6 30. This becomes a problem when any competition is near and we need to practice for it. Except that all is good
The infrastructure of the college has been amazing after it became a university. New lab buildings and hostels are being made. Parking space for vehicles are also there. Hostels have been really good and spacious.
They could improve the quality of teachers since many professors are newly recruited and have less experience. You will get a mix of experienced and new professors so that could be an issue sometimes. But professors are always there for doubt solving.
The college gets the majority of the placements in IT sector and less core companies visit the campus. In civil engineering, L&T is the major recruiter. Along with that several civil engineering start ups also comes to recruit.
Since its a govt. college, you will have less expenditures and value for money is great.
Amazing campus life. Feels like a home with everyone there.
Good structures, Labs, well designed class rooms and library. Good greenery environment around college. Have a good canteen area Separate clubs for many activities like sports singing dancing. Good hostels for both girls and boys
Good teachers and lab assistants Well designed course that helping us Expect that there are many more activities clubs like automobile robotics cse . Regularly Exam are happening and class tests . .
Good amount of MNC are visiting each year. Mostly companies are from IT companies but core companies also coming in a good amount and students sent to regularly internships and tect fest are conducted in campus also
College infrastructure is quite good!!! There are different buildings for different courses such as B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Arch,MCA, etc. There are also well defined area for different branches under different courses. There are also Laboratories, conference halls and meeting halls etc. Within the College campus there are several hostels for the students
My academics in this college was quite nice one. Good faculties are there in the college. Also there is a good exposure of students to different by conducting workshops, seminars, etc. During my minor and major project I also got better guidance from my project guide
There are a lot of placements for B.tech students in the college. There are comparatively less placements for MCA but the placement cell of the cell of the college handles everything in such a way that maximum number of students get the opportunity to get placed
The campus is amazing which provides top class facilities with Wi-Fi enabled campuse, top class classrooms and sophisticated laboratories along with a huge library. There are also hostel facilities for both the boys and girls are also available.
CET provides various technical courses for Undergraduate and postgraduate, the courses are Bsc, MSC, Btech, Mtech etc. the teaching staff have significant experience in there respective fields and are very supportive.
Putting the placement figures the placement rate is around 80% in CET which is very good in comparison to other colleges. The highest package in average is 24LPA to 26LPA where is the minimum is 5LPA.
For Mtech course which I'm pursuing the fee structure is around 1.5 - 2nlakhs approximately. And the fees varies from courses to courses. In my opinion one can get full worth of the money they are spending if they utilise the resources properly.
The campus life is amazing as various extra curricular activities are being organised like sports events, skill development workshops, college fests etc.
The hostel rooms are okay, but the internet speed is excellent, reaching up to 20 Mbps. The food is better than average. There are library and laboratories and hostel facilities . Additionally, there's a bank and a medical facility on campus.
The college provides various Undergraduate programs like B. Tech, B. Sc And masters programs like MSC, Mtech. There are different engineering branches like civil, mechanical, Computer science etc. the faculties are well qualified having a significant amount of teaching experience.
In our course, 70% of students were placed, with Tata Group recruiting the maximum. The highest package offered is 10-12 LPA, the lowest is 2-3 LPA, and the average package is 5-6 LPA. Moreover, 80% of students secured internships in our course.
For my Course the fee structure is around 2 lakhs - 2.5 lakhs average, it may go up and down based on different factors. But the money is worth considering the facilities and placements they provide.
The overall college and campus experience is very nice because of the huge campus and and greenery. College fests are being organised every year with skill development workshops.
College infrastructure is very good. There are separate Labs served for different purpose and also seminar rooms. Areas have been differentiated for different branches in different buildings. There is hostel facility both for ladies and gents within the campus
Best teachers and best resources available for academic development. Teacher students interaction is good. Teachers are very supportive and provide all sort of guidance during projects. Overally my experience was good
It's a very good college with lots of placement opportunities. There is a placement cell in the college which also takes care that maximum number of students in a branch get placed during an academic year.
According to me, yes it's definitely value-for-money as the course fee is less as compared to private colleges and there is a better learning facility with many exposures and different kind of workshops.
This college infrastructure is very good and upto the mark the classrooms are top class thier eere many facilities for students like world class library for students for peaceful study the hostel is also very hygienic
The academic part of this college is excellent the teachers in this college is very friendly towards the students and are always ready to help their students at any point of time they provide real life experience to their students
The placement part of this college is good they provide placement to almost every student in their college this college brings good companies in their college campus like TCS delloite Accenture mind tree etc
IT WAS VERY GOOD AND I AM VERY PROUD THAT I STUDIED IN THAT COLLEGE, IT SHOWED ME THE REAL FACE OF THE WORLD HOW TO CONQUERE IT AND GAVE ME A BRIEF UNDERSTANDING ABOUT THE SIGNIFICANCE OF LIFE, I LOVED IT VERY MUCH!!!
ABOUT ACADEMICS, WHAT I CAN SAY IS THAT IT IS A UNIVERSITY BY THAT ONLY YOU SHOULD THINK, AND ODISHA'S ONE OF THE MOST REPUTED COLLEGE AND ALTOUGH PLACEMENTS ARE HEAVILY ENDEAVOURED, WE ENJOYED THE CIRICULLUM ACADEMICS A LOT.
VERY HEAVILY PLACEMENTS WE FACED IN OUR TIME, THOUGH IT WAS IN THE PANDEMIC SITUATION SO WE FACED A LOT OF ISSUE TOO, BUT WE GOT PLACEMENTS IN THOSE TIMES WITH GOOD COMPANIES LIKE ACCENTURE, INFOSYS, MICROSOFT, AND MANY MORE. I AM PROUD TO BE AN OUTIAN.
1. Ya it has all necessary facilities and equipment . 2. We do have both normal classes and smart classes for students to improve learning experience with 24/7 wifi facilities. 3. Living space is quite clean. But regarding food, it's not that good and hygienic.
I'm pursuing my B.tech in civil engineering as I do have interest in it. And our curriculum has been updated in order to include latest course and study updates. As for job opportunities, it differ from branch to branch.
Regarding placement it's not that much satisfactory. Last year 80% of students got placed through both on campus and off campus placement . And average salary offered is about 5.5 lpa. Ya... Placement process goes smoothly as it us operated by training and placement cell.
Per year in our civil branch course fee is about 30000. And it's absolutely wonderful.
Campus is a bit smaller as compared to other colleges. But it's good. There is good group cohesiveness among teaching, non teaching staff and students. They are quite supportive.
No... Over-all our campus is good.

Hello,
For core branches (like Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, etc.), VSSUT Burla is a better choice than OUTR (CET) Bhubaneswar.
Here’s why:
Strong core departments : VSSUT has a long history and strong reputation in core engineering.
Better GATE environment : Many students from VSSUT prepare for GATE, so you will get a good peer group and study environment.
Good faculty and alumni : Especially in core branches, VSSUT has better faculty support and alumni network in PSU and higher studies.
So, if your focus is on core branches and GATE preparation, VSSUT Burla is the better option.
Hope it helps !
