At the undergraduate level, the institution offers a total of 22 courses. Admissions to Osmania University's undergraduate programmes include B.A., B.Com, B.Sc., and others. Students must have completed higher secondary (10+2) from a recognised board to be eligible for OU Hyderabad undergraduate programmes.Osmania Institution admissions are both entrance and merit-based, which means that applicants for certain programmes, including as B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com, will be given admissions based on their qualifying exam scores, but other UG courses, such as B.Com Hons, the university will hold an entrance exam.

• Candidates for the B.A. degree must have completed a 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board.
• Candidates for the B.Sc. degree must have completed a 10+2 examination or an equivalent examination with an aggregate of 40% in the relevant Science courses, either Physical Sciences & Mathematics or Physical Sciences & Biological Sciences, as the case could be.
• B.Com-Candidates must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent  with minimum marks qualification
• B.Com (Hons)-Candidates must have passed a recognised board's 10+2 or equivalent examination in the relevant stream with minimum qualifying marks.
• B.S.W. -Candidates must have received a 40 percent aggregate grade in 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board.
• B.F.A. Applied Arts/B.F.A. Painting/B.F.A. Photography-10+2 equivalent

Yes ,you can join through direct admission but conditions applied only for few courses like diploma and m Phill ,BA, BBA,BCA,bbm and so remaining courses requires attempt in  entrance exam oucet .

Osmania University is a State Government University. The admission to Engineering in Osmania University is based on merit in TS EAMCET Entrance Examination. There aren't seats reserved under category-B in Osmania University so you cannot get admission based on merit in JEE Main. You have to appear for TS EAMCET and qualify in it. Non-local candidates are considered under general category. To get admission in Osmania University in Computer Science Engineering you need to score minimum 120-130 marks in TS EAMCET.

see as for Chaitanya bharati institute of technology is affiliated under osmania university , 70% seats under convener quota fills by score in eamcet, students need to qualify in eamcet exam to admission in cbit under convener quota.

however remaining 30% seats under B category fills by jee main/  eamcet+IPE score. so seat intake is quite less  and if you go for only merit basis at this score you have less chances for selection.

You can prefer to study bsc or bcom in ou or jntu colleges.

These days even the degree students are able to compete with the BTech students in terms of placements and other aspects.

So getting a seat in prestigious ou and jntu colleges is not a small thing.

So it would be better if you choose bsc or bcom groups in degree.

As you may have more and better carrer options compared to the other branches.

The basic eligibility for btech in Osmania is one must complete 10+2 with atleast 45% secured in relavent streams and along with ts EAMCET .

For any  degree , Osmania gives admission based on merit and also oucet entrance exam.

The percentage eligibility is 40% for general in board exams ,35% for obc students,30% for sc.st's and pwd has 5% reservation to get an admission .
