Incase have scored 73% in 12th and you belong to General or OBC category you are not eligible for NIT. The basic eligibility criteria of the NIT say that you need to have scored at least 75% in boards aur be in top 20 percentile of the board

Your OBC rank is bit high
As per the previous year cutoffs you have a good chance of getting NIT Surat for mechanical engineering but you might have to wait for some rounds as cutoffs may high during the initial rounds.
You can also apply for other NITs

As you say that you have not qualified the JEE Mains cutoff, therefore it is not possible to get admission in SVNIT surat. The minimum requirement for getting admission in SVNIT is 170 marks to get a good bbranch. Also for getting entrance into any government college through

College Infrastructure

If we talk about infrastructure some of departments are under-construction from 2-3 years I guess. And still we don't know how long it will take. Rest the buildings that are already made are fabulous

College Infrastructure

The college has a nice green campus with plenty of space the classrooms are okay but some of equipment is owned the library is great and has a lot of books and very good environment wifi is very stronger and very good the infrastructure is really valid.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is quite good. The department has three different buildings, and all the labs required for the course, such as fluid dynamic labs, hydraulic lab , som lab , structure lab, EM lab and transporation lab.
