Seeing previous year Jee mains cuttoff for tezpur university,you have less chance of getting seats.You need 88+ percentile under general category.84 is low percentile for tezpur university.Rank should be under 1.5lakhs.For sureity wait till concerned authority announce cuttoff.

your rank in jee mains is 42124 ,which is gud but not enough to get admission in a good college but tezpur university is a private university or central university located in tejpur,it conducts its own entrance exam, so it is totally dependent on your entrance exam

every year cutoff changes according to nujmber of candidates participating, seat matrix etc.  you have fair chances for tezpur university. but you may not get computer science, electronics and comunication etc. but you opted for electrical , mechanical, civil engineering.

and tezpur university closing rank in general category 29k-30k. and this year first time ews category has launched. however it is really imposible to get as seat in btech at this percentile.
