Product Design Prototyping and Testing at UMD

Product Design, Prototyping, and Testing certification course has been developed by The University of Maryland, College Park and University System of Maryland and taught by Cait von Schnetlag - Faculty, Clark School of Engineering, the University of Maryland, College Park, which is made available by EdX for students who want to turn their product concepts into physical resources by producing wireframes, 3D renderings, prototypes, and minimum viable products.

Product Design, Prototyping, and Testing online training involves more than 12 hours of learning materials that adhere to the best practices in product design and development, allowing students to move from concepts through prototype and concept testing of their goods and services. Product Design, Prototyping, and Testing online classes include topics including design methods, modelling, manufacturing process, simulation, material selection, platform design, modular design, planning, mass customization, scheduling, and more. The self-paced course can be taken by the students either free or by paying the fee. In free mode, the learners will have a limited duration of access to the programme.
